I like teams that are playing for a new head coach. One thing that he did that might help is he stripped Nathaniel Hackett of his playcalling duties. The Jets have a great defense and I think they'll frustrate Josh Allen and take advantage of it on offense with some short fields. This is a big game for the Jets because they're not out of it despite firing their coach. If they win this game they are right in the thick of the playoff race and I expect them to play well tonight for Jeff Ulbrich.

Well I finally cooled off Monday as I go 1-1 in bases but 0-1 in hockey as the Rangers gave up a late goal to spoil my first period puck line and of course the Jets fell short as Aaron Rodgers threw a late interception. Hopefully I bounce back tomorrow with some more winners and get back on track.

2-1 night tonight as my hockey play easily goes over and the Liberty/Lynx continue their trend of going over in the 1st period which is why I decided to go with that play. My series future plays are still alive as the Liberty need to win Friday night to wrap up the series and give me a winner on the 3-1 series outcome as well as Liberty -1.5 games which are both at plus money.

The Dodgers are looking pretty impressive right now and I got run over tonight backing the Mets even against Walker Buehler who I thought would get shelled which is why I made that play in the first place but he didn't so it was a loser. I have 4 plays tonight and none are on the NFL game. I just don't see value in that game but I lean Denver and fwiw that was my play in the BMR contest. I don't have money on the game though because I don't want to lay 3 with Denver and I don't want to pay the heavily juiced ML even though I think Denver should win given New Orleans injury woes.

I played Boston College tonight against Virginia Tech because I think that game will be better and there's value on the dog betting wise. I think BC's defense will keep them in the game and hopefully they can generate enough offense to either win outright or cover the spread. At +8 I think that's plenty fine for me to get involved because I see this being a close game despite it being in Blacksburg at night where it's typically tough to play.

I went with overs in both MLB games because I see both offenses in those respective games to get going against the opposing pitching. Both the Yankees and Dodgers have been hitting but I think Cleveland can get going against Clarke Schmidt and the Mets will bounce back against Yamamoto so over 7 for both games is my play.

In the NHL I played Montreal as more of a fade of the LA Kings who are on a back to back and will be playing their backup goalie. I think Montreal should take advantage of this and get the win tonight so I took them at plus money which doesn't make sense to me because LA shouldn't be favored in this one imo.

2-2 night Thursday as both baseball plays went over easily but BC got blown out and Montreal didn't cash as an underdog for me in NHL. Hopefully I get the weekend started Friday with some more winners.

Just three plays for me today because I don't have a strong enough opinion on the college football slate to make a play on any of the five games and I'm passing on the three game NHL card. I do like the over once again in both MLB games. In the case of the Yankees and Guardians both bullpens are taxed after yesterday so the teams will be able to score some runs in this game both off the starters and then the bullpens when they enter the game.

In the Dodgers game I went back and forth with what to do with this one before just deciding to take the over. It's cashed in all 4 games of this series and even though Jack Flaherty pitched extremely well in game 1 I just don't see how you can take an under in this series with how well the Dodgers have been hitting. David Petersen will be on a short leash for the Mets today and I think once he exits the game the Dodgers will be able to get to the Mets bullpen who has been overused in this series. I lean Dodgers on the ML but I do expect the Mets to go down swinging in this one which is why I took a shot at the over.

My last play is a player prop in the WNBA Finals game 4. I already have two futures pending that I feel good about because I feel the Liberty will close this one out tonight but instead of taking the Liberty as short favorites or even on the ML I decided to take Sabrina Ionescu's rebounds +assist prop over 9.5. My reasoning for this is that she doesn't score that much on the road but other aspects of her game tend to stand out in particular her rebounding and assists. I think she can get at least 10 rebounds + assists tonight in a close out game where I have the Liberty winning so I played it.

All my Friday bets cash as both baseball plays easily went over and Sabrina Ionescu cleared her rebound+assist prop like I thought she would in a competitive game 4. Unfortunately for me the Liberty lost that game which means both my series bets are losers. It's a shame really that a great game came down to a whistle in the closing seconds but that's the way it goes and now the W gets a game 5 between the best two teams in the league in what has been a pretty darn good series for the league championship.
