0-1 night tonight as Baltimore boatraces Tampa early but holds on to win by 10. I know the Chiefs are undefeated but I still think the Ravens are the one team that can easily win a rematch with the Chiefs. In fact I believe they are the best team in the league despite what the records say. We'll just see if Lamar can play at an elite level in the playoffs which hasn't always happened during his career and is why the Ravens have fallen short in the past. Also I'm not sure you can win too many games giving up 31 points like that in January but the Ravens offense is rolling right now they just need to shore up their defense if they want to really be legit Super Bowl contenders.

Overall record: 170-182-5 -19.16u
MLB: 107-91-4 +12.27u
WNBA: 17-28-2 -13.25u
NHL23-24: 1-2 -1.42u
UFC: 5-7 -0.50u
OLYMBB: 4-7 -3.76u
NCAAF: 20-20-1 -1.28u
NFL: 15-30 -16.62u
NHL24-25: 7-5-1 +2.72u
Spot on. Ravens looking pretty damn good on offense.
Defense has some issues they need to resolve.

I'm thinking the same... Ravens #1, KC #2 in AFC. I think the 49ers will eventually be #1 in NFC if everyone comes back from injuries.

I'm a Niners fan and my assessment of the team is that this is not their year. Now they have shown in the past to get off to slow starts and being able to recover and make a run in the playoffs but I'm not sure that happens this year because the injuries are just too much on their team. They lost Aiyuk for the year but he hasn't really done much so maybe Jennings comes back and becomes the focal point of their passing offense. Still though I rate Detroit and Minnesota ahead of them and I think it's possible we get someone new out of the NFC this season.

NBA
Boston Celtics 1H -3 -113 1.13u to win 1u
Josh Hart o8.5 rebounds -108 1.08u to win 1u
Minnesota Timberwolves ML -113 1.13u to win 1u
Anthony Davis o40.5 P+R+A -108 1.08u to win 1u
Anthony Edwards o36.5 P+R+A -114 1.14u to win 1u

NHL
Washington Capitals ML +111 1u to win 1.11u

Ok we are back to having non stop sports action with the start of the NBA season today. Of course I'm diving headfirst right into the season with five plays on a two game slate tonight. First up I like the Celtics early in their game with the Knicks. I think they'll be energized by the crowd after receiving their rings tonight and come out strong at least to start the game. I actually think this will be a close game and that the Knicks will be there at the end so I lean Knicks +6 but I didn't take it because I'm not really sure what to expect from the Knicks who have a new look roster this season.

I also like a prop in this game and that is Josh Hart's rebound prop. This is a guy who hustles and plays bigger than he is. Rebounding is something he does very well so I think 9 rebounds is a low total for a guy that the Knicks rely on to do the dirty work.

In the nightcap I really like the Timberwolves to win this game against the Lakers. The Lakers generally start off slow in the Lebron era and now they have a new coach. I think the Wolves will be hungry and come out trying to prove that they are legit contenders in the West. The Lakers will struggle to keep up in this one with a Wolves team that is young and out to prove a point so I think the Wolves start the season 1-0.

I like a couple of player props from this game. First up I like Anthony Davis to go over his PRA prop tonight. I think the Lakers will run their offense through Davis under Coach Reddick and that will cause him to be the leading scorer on the team most nights. I look for him to get off to a good start and go over this prop number in a game I expect to be fairly high scoring.

My last play is on Anthony Edwards to go over his PRA prop as well. This is a play I like because Edwards is a guy that gets up for a game like this. He typically shoots more when he plays against Lebron so his numbers against the Lakers have been higher than normal. I think he has another big game tonight here as this Wolves team is his team now that Karl Towns is gone so give me over 36.5 PRA for Edwards.

Anthony Edwards said he's playing football if he wins the ring in 3 or 4yrs. I like the confidence of this kid.

Getting to be busy-betting time of year

Best of luck JR
Yeah I mean I bet these games but a lot of the time I just check scores because it's hard to keep up with it all. Of course I'm at work most of the time during the week when the games are going on because I work nights. I still like to have a lot of action and this is truly the best time of year for sports. Only March comes close but it still doesn't beat late fall for me with everything in full swing.

3-3 night as I go 2-3 in NBA and hit my lone NHL play. Could have been better if Anthony Edwards didn't lose by the hook on his PRA prop. Tomorrow we have more NBA so hopefully I find some more winners.

NBA
Orlando Magic +2 -107 1.07u to win 1u
Phoenix Suns -5 -105 1.05u to win 1u
Giannis Antetokounmpo o28.5 points -118 1.18u to win 1u

Three plays for me tonight on the massive opening night card around the league for the Association. First up I took Orlando +2 against Miami. I think this game features two evenly matched teams and I want the points here in a game that I think will be lower scoring and defensive oriented. I think the Magic will take another step forward this year and I believe that the Heat will regress as they are older.

My second play is on the Suns to cover the spread against the Clippers. The Suns are the healthier team and should be raring to go on opening night. This is more a fade of the Clippers on opening night as Kawhi is out and James Harden is all by his lonesome trying to lead this team and I don't expect that to go well. I look for the Suns to take it to the Clippers tonight and win comfortably in their opener.

My last play is on Giannis to go over his point prop in the Bucks/Sixers game. The Sixers are without Paul George and Joel Embiid already so I expect Giannis to feast. Andre Drummond is the only big capable of slowing him down but I don't see that happening as I think the Bucks win here and Giannis has himself a night with the Sixers down two key starters.

1-2 night tonight as the Magic win outright but Giannis just comes up short of going over his point prop and the Suns rally to win but don't cover in OT. Tomorrow we have a pretty solid NFL game so I'll be back hopefully with some winners.

1-1 tonight as OKC easily wins on the road at Denver but the NFL game goes over 47.5 in the last few minutes of the game. Back at it tomorrow with some more plays on a fairly big Friday card.

3-1 night tonight but not the outcome I wanted or expected in baseball. I thought the total was dead in the water with both starters dealing but Freddie Freeman took care of that in one swing and also caused me to lose the Yankees play. Thought it would be the other way around but I can't complain about getting one right.

Indiana Hoosiers -5 -115 1.15u to win 1u
Notre Dame/Navy o50 -113 1.13u to win 1u
Penn State/Wisconsin u47.5 -103 1.03u to win 1u

All right I'm starting my Saturday action with three college football plays. First up I like Indiana to continue their winning ways against Washington. I know people keep expecting them to finally lose and now that they lost their starting QB Indiana might be vulnerable but they're well coached and I think they keep rolling against a Washington team that has struggled on the road.

Next up I like the Navy/Notre Dame game to go over 50 points tomorrow. Navy is undefeated and has a dynamic offense that has caused them to be undefeated to the over in their games. Also Notre Dame has been explosive offensively since losing to Northern Illinois. I expect plenty of points in this game so I took the over 50.

My last play is on the Penn State/Wisconsin under 47.5. I think Penn State will do enough to get by in this game before their big showdown with Ohio State next week but I don't expect them to score a lot of points and that means they're going to have to rely on their stingy defense to win this game. Even though Wisconsin's offense has gotten going in these past few weeks their opposition hasn't been the greatest so that leads me to believe they will have trouble scoring in this one because PSU's defense is legit.

The Navy will be truly tested today.
