0-1 tonight as the Chiefs win and cover against the Saints. I'm not sure if I'll have any plays tomorrow because I work early in the morning so I might not get in any plays. I'll be back at it Wednesday if that's the case and I don't post any plays for Tuesday's slate.

Ok so I was able to get my three plays in today with two coming in the baseball playoff action and also my first NHL play of the season. First up I like the Mets today to get to Aaron Nola at home. Nola regressed a little this year plus historically he's not as good away from the friendly confines so I think the Mets will score enough off him and the bullpen to go ahead in the series 2-1 today.
In the nightcap I'm banking on runs being scored. Walker Buehler hasn't been the same pitcher this year since coming off the injury so I think the Padres will be able to score some runs off him. I think the Dodgers despite maybe having to go without Freddie Freeman can get to Michael King and the Padres bullpen so I'm looking over 7.5 because it feels too low here.
In the NHL opener tonight between Chicago and Utah I look for Utah to win in front of their home crowd. Utah is not an expansion franchise despite being in a new city they are the team formally known as the Coyotes and they have some talent on their roster. Chicago is rebuilding so I think Utah might be the better team here. I look for Utah to ride the wave of momentum generated by their home ice crowd and cover the puck line here.

Ok we make it a cleans sweep with both our bases plays cashing easily and Utah getting it done on the ice for their first victory in their new city Tuesday night. I hope to keep it going with a decent slate of action to choose from on Wednesday.

Mets get it done but unfortunately for me they only needed 4 runs to do it against the Phillies and the total stays under. The Mets are formidable and will be a tough out in the NLCS and possibly World Series because everybody in that lineup is dangerous. My hockey picks went 0-1-1 so I go 0-3-1 on the day taking a step back after a great day Tuesday. We'll see what Thursday brings with college football, my Niners and hockey all in action not to mention both AL series going on in bases.

Padres look pretty good (not last night though).

Ok big slate of action tonight with multiple sports going. I like the Niners to really put up points on the board tonight in their divisional showdown with Seattle. I think the Niners win but instead of laying 3.5 or taking the ML I opted to go for their team total o26.5, I think this game will be a shootout and the Niners will have to score plenty of points to win this game because they're going to have problems slowing down the Seattle offense. I lean to to the full game over but 49 is a little more than I want to play on the over so I'm just isolating the Niners offense who I have confidence in scoring a bunch of points against a banged up Seahawks defense. It goes without saying that I think Brock Purdy has a strong game and the Niners get more than one passing touchdown in this game from him because I feel like they're going to have to throw to beat this Seahawks team.
In bases I'm going with the Guardians to save their season today. I think the Guardians will have an edge on the mound with Tanner Bibee going so I'm hoping their bats wake up and score enough runs against the Tigers pitching staff who are going with a bullpen game today. It's dicey but I think the Guardians win a rock fight so I'm going with them to extend the series.
In the NHL I'm taking a shot with Ottawa against the Panthers at home because they upgraded their goaltending by getting Linus Ullmark and he happens to have a very good lifetime record against Florida so I'm leaning on him to get a win in Ottawa's season opener. For my other play I'm taking a shot with Nashville at home because they may have had the best offseason in terms of upgrading their roster by adding key guys like Jonathan Marchessault and Steven Stamkos. Throw in the fact that Nashville is a tough place to play and the Stars may be in disarray with some contract disputes with some of their key players and I like Nashville at the short plus money price.
Last but not least we have the WNBA finals. Instead of playing the games individually I decided to try and play the series prices. New York is heavily favored as they should be in this series but I think there is value on them winning by more than one game and also them winning in 4. Minnesota is too good and well coached to get swept imo but I do think New York is significantly better than them so I think they get it done in 4 just like they did against the Aces where they cruised in games 1 and 2 at home but struggled on the road in game 3 before closing it out in game 4. Something similar is what I think happens here so I feel good about those two plays I made on the series exact outcome.

Almost a clean sweep Thursday but the Predators comeback attempt falls short against the Stars. I'll take a 4-1 day any time hopefully we can keep it going Friday as there is a smaller slate of action highlighted by a game 5 in bases and some college football as well as NHL going on.

Just a coincidence I guess that all my action is in the Big Ten today. I really like Iowa today because Washington is coming off a huge win last week where I cashed with them against Michigan. I think Iowa should win today by margin because this is a letdown spot for Washington and I don't expect them to play well today but I just took the ML with the spread being under 3. I took Penn State because I think they have a matchup advantage in the trenches and that will lead them to cover against USC. In the marquee game of the day I took the points with the Ducks because I'm not sure the Buckeyes deserve to be favored in Eugene today.Kind of focues on the B1G Jr?
