First up I like the Thunder to cover at home against a struggling Lakers team who is coming in off a win but that was against the worst team in the league. When the Lakers have stepped up in class they haven't fared too well and this Thunder team is good plus they have the rest advantage over the Lakers who played yesterday while the Thunder didn't.

My next play is on Tyrese Haliburton to go over his P+R+A tonight against the Heat. This play is fairly obvious as Haliburton is a high usage player who has routinely gone over this number and the betting line suggests this game will be competitive so he'll have plenty of run to clear this number.

My last play is on the Bucks to cover the first half number against the Bulls who have been a disaster. I didn't want to lay 8.5 on the road with the Bucks because that seems like a lot to lay for a visiting team despite the Bulls struggles so I just played it safe and took the Bucks 1H -4.5.

Its difficult because of the random injury report and guys missing games all the time for no good reason in comparison to other sports. I tend to do better in the playoffs and starting in the new year but at the beginning of the season I've noticed that my record tends to suck like it has so far this year.

Finally a good night tonight as I go 3-0 to get back some of those units I lost in the last several plays. The Thunder cruised against the Lakers who tend be a bet against team against good teams which the Thunder are imo. Haliburton continues to be a monster this year for a team that can score a bunch of points which is why playing his overs on any of his props is typically a good idea. The last play on the Bucks was fortunate as they covered the first half but actually went on to lose the game outright so I dodged a bullet not backing them to cover the full game which I thought was a few too many points on the road.

Glad that one of my plays won when you tailed it. I hope to provide more winners as the season goes along so that anybody who decides to follow my plays wins too but like I said in previous posts its probably best to pick and choose your spots when tailing me at least early in the season.

First up tonight I expect a lot of points in the Philly/Boston matchup. Boston is still missing Porzingis so I think Philadelphia will be able to score some points especially since I think Embiid suits up tonight with it being a huge matchup against their rival. Even without Porzingis I trust Boston's top 5 offense to also put up points so over is the play tonight I think.

My second play is on Embiid's assist prop to go over 5.5. It's heavily juiced but that's for good reason as Embiid averages 6.6 assists a game and he should find ample opportunities to rack up assists as Boston will try to make sure other people beat them by doubling Embiid as much as possible which will force him to pass the ball which he's willing to do since the Sixers have plenty of offensive weapons.

My last play is on the Denver Nuggets ML against the Suns on the road. There are a lot of injury question marks surrounding this game but Jokic is going to play and Murray is back which helps the Nuggets a lot. He may or may not play in this one but even if he doesn't I still like the Nuggets because of Jokic and the fact that the Suns are weaker defensively which Denver should exploit with Jokic leading the way.

This Boston game has gotten a lot of interesting news as Maxey might miss the game and Embiid might actually miss it too. Both these guys are sick so I'm not sure my Embiid play will be valid but at least the books void your bet if the guy you bet on misses the game due to illness or injury. I do think if these guys miss the game getting on Boston before this line moves too much might be the way to go. I will stay away though and hope the game goes over although now I don't feel so good about it with the two main Sixers questionable.

Ok guys Embiid has been ruled out for tonights game so scratch my play on his assists. Maxey is iffy so my play on the total is dicey but I'm going to let it ride because I still think there will be a lot of points scored in this game and I'm not sure this will be a grind it out game. I actually think it will be played at the same fast pace with not much defense played but I'd still want the two Sixer star players in the lineup to help my over.

Boston should roll tonight making this anticipated matchup not even worth watching. Maxey and Embiid out so the line moved 6 points making it unbettable. The total moved down 6 points which is to be expected when a teams two best players are out. This is the kind of stuff that makes me realize why you guys who don't bet NBA very often tend to stay away from it because it happens way too often.

NBA is so much about the lineups and who is sitting out. If you can stay on top of this stuff, props to you. NBA is a marathon. So hard when you figure in injuries and rest. And there's always a feeling that these guys don't care, as long as the check cashes.

Naturally with both Sixer stars out both teams shoot lights out in the first quarter in a track meet where 80 points were scored in the first quarter. I think Boston runs away with this game but I at least feel better about my over because Boston is going to score 120+ points tonight with the way their shooting early on.

Went 2-0-1 on Friday but I feel very fortunate to be on the right side of variance after all the news that went down. The Sixers played admirably without their top 2 players which speaks to their depth. Boston is arguably the best team on paper in the East but I have some doubts whether they'll be able to get to the Finals because I think Philly and Milwaukee in a 7 game series could give them some problems.

Then I was fortunate that Booker missed tonights game as the Suns continue to play without the their big 3 on the court at the same time together this season. Denver is still better than them imo so long as Jokic plays but they're definitely the better team when Durant doesn't have at least Booker with him.
