JR's 2023-2024 NBA plays

Gum, your insight on the Clippers was good. Had to know the Harden acquisition was going to spell trouble.

Goes back to one basic premise about Basketball. Only one ball to go around. When you have several guys who feel like they need the ball, it's an issue.

Not a Westbrook fan. But props to him for asking to come off the bench to help the rotation.

That's what I thought they needed to do and guess what it worked they won last night against a very surprisingly good Rockets team. Lets see if this gets the Clippers on track. I think it might because they have talent but I'm not sure that they can win the West because the West is stacked with great teams.

I'm focusing on the Phoenix Suns and in particular Devin Booker when they visit the Utah Jazz tonight. The Suns have been an elite offensive team since Devin Booker came back from injury to give them another scorer and playmaker besides Kevin Durant. They still don't have Bradley Beal but that doesn't matter they should be able to get what they want against a defensively challenged Jazz squad tonight. Booker should be able to get over 40.5 P+R+A since he dominates the ball and racks up assists facilitating the offense. I like all of his props over tonight but I decided to go with his P+R+A for my official play.

My last play is on the Houston Rockets in the 1H +3 against the Lakers tonight. The Lakers typically start slow and I think Houston plays enough defense to hang around for a half tonight on the road. I didn't take it full game because I feel like the Lakers will turn it on late for a possible full game cover here.

Milwaukee Bucks 1H -5.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u
Miami Heat 1H ML -113 1.13u to win 1u
Minnesota/New York Knicks u214.5 -108 1.08u to win 1u

My first play today is on Miwaukee to cover in the 1H against the Wizards. I see a blowout here as the Wizards are terrible and play no defense. Milwaukee should be able to have their way with them but I just took 1H because laying -9.5 on the road is a scary proposition even though I think this will be a complete blowout.

Next up I like the Heat to take a lead into halftime against the Bulls. They just played this same Bulls team a couple of days ago and choked away a big lead and ultimately lost the game so I'm just isolating the first half. I think they come out with a sense of urgency against a Bulls team that's in a little bit of turmoil with all the drama surrounding Zach Lavine. I didn't want to risk any shenanigans late so I only played the 1H here where I think the Heat end up taking a lead into halftime.

My last play is on the full game under 214.5 in the Knicks/Timberwolves game. Both these teams really get after it defensively and I think you see a game that will be played at a slower pace which will result in a lower scoring under type game.

Unreal 1-2 day in the association but that's how it goes sometimes. Milwaukee was looking like they were going to close out the half up by more than 5 but they coughed it up and the Wizards went into the break down 5 making my 1H play a loser by the hook. Naturally the Bucks covered the full game line so its frustrating they couldn't finish the half strong and take a bigger lead into the break. At least the Heat took care of business in the 1H and were ahead comfortably for my only winner today because the Knicks/Timberwolves went over by 3 points to give me a 1-2 day. On to the next one with a smaller slate tomorrow so we'll see if I can find some winners and bounce back.

I didn't really like much on this 5 game slate we have today so I focused on one game tonight between the Pacers and Hawks. First I like Trae Young as well as many of his teammates to have big games tonight in what should be an up and down game tonight. Despite the fact that I think a lot of the Hawks players will have big games tonight I did side with the Pacers ATS. I don't like this Hawks team and I think the Pacers are live to win this one so I took the +3.5 points with the Pacers on the road.

Boom finally had a 2-0 night but I didn't really expect 300+ points in this one despite both teams ranking in the top 5 in offensive efficiency and near the bottom of the rankings in defensive efficiency. The Pacers literally don't try to stop you they just try to outscore you and that's what they did here to get the victory against a blistering hot Hawks team.

Only two plays for me on todays's 14 game card as I think today's card will be tough with it being the day before Thanksgiving so I didn't feel like making a lot of plays. Anyway I like Brooklyn against the Hawks today because they're rested and I think Atlanta will be tired after yesterday's crazy game against Indiana. Brooklyn is live to win this game tonight but I just took the 3.5 points here as I think they at least cover.

My second play is on the Rockets laying 5 against the Grizzlies at home. The Rockets have been struggling lately but they've been covering spreads and I think they're in good position to cover here against a struggling Grizzlies team so I laid the 5 points here with the Rockets at home.

Just one play for me today on a big slate of NBA in season tournament games. I like this Warriors/Spurs matchup to go over the total tonight. Both teams play fast and that should lead to a higher scoring game. The Warriors are still without Draymond Green for one more game and that hurts their defense. I think their offense should be able to get whatever they want against this Spurs team so that'll lead to plenty of points in this one.

Tough loss tonight as the Warriors and Spurs looked like they were going over after the first Quarter but then they cooled off considerably in the second and third Quarters only to finish short of going over the total by 5 points. We'll see if I can bounce back this weekend with some more winners.

My first play is on Philadelphia to win on the road against the Thunder. I think the Sixers have advantages in this one especially inside with Joel Embiid whom I expect to have a big game here in a win for his team.

My next play is on Lebron to clear his P+R+A prop today against his former team in Cleveland. I think he loves to play the Cavs especially when he visits Cleveland so he should ball out here and have a monster game against the Cavs.

My last play I went with Dallas on the ML against the Clippers. This one should be a pretty competitive game but I don't trust the Clippers yet even though they've started to play better since changing their lineup up a little sending Russell Westbrook to the bench.

Tough 1-2 day on the hardwood as Philly wins a tough game on the road in Oklahoma but Lebron doesn't go over his P+R+A prop in a win against Cleveland and Dallas gets blown out by the Clippers on the road. Decent sized card tomorrow so hopefully I bounce back with some winners.

Boston/Atlanta o236 -108 1.08u to win 1u

My first play is on the Knicks at home against a surging Suns team. I think the Suns cool off here against a tough defensive minded Knicks team especially if Durant is out again. I think the Knicks can keep Phoenix in check here enough to cover the short 3.5 point spread at home.

My next play is on the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks to go over 236 points in Boston. Atlanta doesn't play defense as has been established so far this year and they're on a back to back where games have trended to the over in these spots. Boston should be able to get whatever they want on offense and it will be uptempo enough to go over because that's how Atlanta likes to play.
