2 plays for me on today's big 11 game NBA card. First up I like the Hawks to get another win tonight against a struggling Jazz team. The Jazz aren't very good on the road and even though the Hawks are without Trae Young for the next 4 weeks they still blew out the Magic in a game I went against them in last time out. I think it might be a trend that the Hawks are better defensively with Young out of the lineup and they will rely on that improved defense to remain comepetitive and win games so I'm backing them here at home.

My next play is on the Thunder in the 1st half to cover the spread against the Rockets. The Rockets aren't very good on the road and that's a trend that has stayed true all season. I think it continues here and the Thunder who have been one of the best first half teams in the league all year get out to a decent lead at halftime to cover the spread. I lean to them covering the full game but I went first half because I don't like asking teams to cover double digit spreads unless the team they're facing is one of the worst in the NBA. Despite their struggles on the road I think Houston may keep this close enough to cover so I laid off OKC full game.

LA Clippers -3.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u

Just one play for me on a short Wednesday NBA card and its on the Clippers to win and cover the 3.5 points against the Lakers in this rivalry matchup. I know that Paul George is out for this game but I'm not worried about that because I think the Clippers have enough depth and talent to beat this Laker team by margin. Also this is a big bounce back spot for the Clippers who recently haven't been playing well having dropped 4 out of their last 7 games. They'll definitely be ready to go tonight though because I don't think they want to drop the season series to the Lakers so I kind of expect a statement win here by the Clippers.

Lebron had that look in his eye tonight and you could just tell once he got going the Lakers were going to come back. Just have to bounce back tomorrow but that was particularly brutal to lose like that.

Wow. Like I said in Best Bet, NBA is a biatch of a sport sometimes.

Yeah it's not like college where a 21 point lead is virtually insurmountable because teams cannot shoot like the guys in the NBA can. The three ball seems to be contagious in the NBA once a team makes a couple in a row everybody gets in on the act and a lead can disappear quickly.

Golden State Warriors -4.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u

Another day with just one play for me. A lot of spots on the card that are tricky so I passed even though in some cases like that of the Hawks I lean towards taking them it's just I don't trust them on the road even against a team that is terrible like the Nets.

Anyway today I like the Warriors to go to the Garden and take care of business against the Knicks. The Knicks really miss Julius Randle and OG Anunoby who are both out with injury and they haven't been the same team they were after acquiring Anunoby because he's been out which hurts them on both offense and defense. The Warriors need to keep winning and have been playing much better since Draymond Green returned to the lineup so I think they will come in here and take care of the shorthanded Knicks especially since Steph loves playing at the Garden.

Nice to get an easy wire to wire win and cover by the Warriors. They were tough defensively and never wilted when the Knicks made a little run. I'll take it and move on to tomorrow's slate to find some more winners.

First up tonight I like Golden State and Toronto to go over the total of 236.5. I lean to Golden State winning this game but I didn't want to lay three points with them on the road coming off a hard fought win in New York last night. They got to Toronto at 4 AM so I expect them to be a little tired but that won't stop them from launching plenty of threes and connecting on more than a few since Toronto is bad defensively on the perimeter. Also I think Toronto will try to run as much as possible in this game since the Warriors will be tired and there will be plenty of long rebounds that lead to transition offense and easy baskets. Give me the over in this one as I don't expect much defense.

Next up I like New Orleans to get revenge on Indiana tonight back at home. These two just played on Wednesday and Indiana blitzed New Orleans in the first Quarter en route to building a huge lead that the Pelicans never recovered from. I expect that to be reversed in this situation because these games typically are the opposite of what happened last time with the team at home usually flipping the script. I think New Orleans wins comfortably tonight and covers the 5 points so I laid the number.

We go 1-1 with the Warriors notching another victory on the road but the total staying under the 236.5 mark and the Pelicans easily getting revenge over Indiana in a blowout that was never close. Onto tomorrow's smaller five game slate where I'll try to find some winners.

Denver Nuggets ML -115 1.15u to win 1u

Just one play for me today on a short 5 game card. I like the Nuggets to go to LA today and win against the Lakers. The reason they're not favored by more here is because Jamal Murray is questionable with an ankle injury. Even if he can't go I still like the Nuggets because the Lakers don't match up well with Jokic. I think the Nuggets come in here and make a statement that they are still the team that the Western conference runs through.

Denver gets home with a nice comfortable comeback win on the road against the Lakers. On to tomorrows slate and hopefully some more winners.

Minnesota Timberwolves ML -138 1.38u to win 1u
Golden State Warriors +8 -109 1.09u

First up on today's card I like Minnesota to beat the Clippers at home. I think their elite defense and home court advantage will be enough to propel them to the win so I played them on the ML here against the Clippers who have been struggling recently despite winning their last game against the hapless Wizards.

Next up I took the Warriors plus the points against the Celtics. The Celtics will be amped for this game with it being a Finals rematch from 2022 and it being at home but I went with the Warriors because they've been playing extremely well on the road lately and I think they can continue that recent play today against the C's who despite being the best team in basketball have struggled against the Warriors.
