1-1 night as the Bucks lose a hearbreaker against the Lakers thanks to Deangelo Russell going off for his career high including the game winner. At least the Pelicans took care of business against the Sixers but I had to sweat it out at the end because the Sixers made a spirited comeback from down 30 only to lose by 8.

Boston Celtics 1H -2.5 -113 1.13u to win 1u

My only play on the card is on the Celtics to cover the first half against the Suns on the road. The Celtics are coming off two tough losses and I expect them to start out strong here against the Suns. Devin Booker has been upgraded to questionable but its more likely he doesn't play. In his absence the Suns have played well but I am on Boston here to cover the first half spread because they are going to be a little angry coming into this one coming off two tough losses which hasn't happened much this year. I do think the Suns might be able to cover the full game line here so I'm not laying 5 on the road with Boston against a good Suns team but the first half line I think they can cover here.

1-0 on my only play yesterday as the Celtics cruised to an easy first half cover and even covered the full game spread this time. I'll be back later with a look at today's card and hopefully some more winners.

First up today I like the Kings to cover the spread against the visiting Rockets. The Kings have been inconsistent this year which is why I can't get their games right but lately they've been playing well and are in the playoff hunt thanks to their efficient offense. The Rockets have been a bad road team all year and I expect that to continue here agains the Kings who should be able to win this game by margin.

Next up I like the under in the Timberwolves/Lakers matchup tonight. Karl Anthony Towns is out with a torn meniscus and because of that the Wolves have been relying on their league leading defense to win games. I think this game will feature less threes with KAT out and also I think both teams will have trouble scoring against each other leading to the under which has been the trend for Minnesota with KAT out.

Tough 0-2 night as the Kings had a terrible third Quarter on the way to a loss against the Rockets. Then in the nightcap the total easily went over as both teams were blistering hot in the first half and the total easily cleared 222. On to tomorrow where hopefully I bounce back and find some winners.

Phoenix Suns -6.5 -108 1.08u to win 1u

Just one play for me on tonights tricky card. I like the Suns to cover here against a tired Cavs team that have played 5 games in 7 nights so they should be pretty tired here even though they are at home. Phoenix is going to get Devin Booker back tonight it looks like and they've played pretty good basketball without him. Meanwhile Cleveland has struggled with injury hitting the team hard and the rest advantage is not in their favor tonight so I'm taking the Suns to cover here.

Tough beat tonight as the Suns had to rally from down 7 at halftime and almost got the cover but of course I lose by the hook. It is what it is at this point the NBA is really tough this time of year. I'm gonna keep trying but I'm taking my lumps right now. Hopefully it all turns around in the playoffs and I at least finish the season strong.

Oklahoma City Thunder Team Total o123.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u

The first of my two plays tonight is on the Knicks to bounce back at home against the Sixers. These two teams just met on Sunday in an ugly game that ended 79-73 with the Sixers getting the win. Both teams get a player back that is key to their chances of winning with Maxey returning for the Sixers and the Knicks getting OG Anunoby back from his injury. Although the Sixers are much better with Maxey than they are without him I think the Knicks really need OG Anunoby on both offense and defense to get back to the way they were playing before he got hurt. I'm laying the six points here because I see the Knicks getting a huge win tonight to take the season series from their rivals and get that all important tiebreaker in the Eastern Conference standings with a team they're fighting with for playoff position.

My next play is on the Oklahoma City team total over 123.5. I'm trying something different here with going with a team total instead of a full game over with both teams. OKC should have no trouble scoring against this Indiana team and although I lean to the full game over 241 is just a tad too high for me to take it. Isolating OKC is the way to go here if you like the over imo because I just don't see Indiana stopping them tonight in what figures to be a high scoring game.

1-1 night tonight as the Knicks take care of the Sixers with ease but OKC struggles and didn't go over their team total in a loss versus the Pacers. Onto tomorrow's card and hopefully some more winners.

Orlando Magic -6.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u
LA Lakers ML -145 1.45u to win 1u

My first play tonight is on the Magic to cover the spread at home against the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are coming off a rare win and Orlando is coming in off back to back losses in which their offense struggled but I'm backing the Magic here because the Nets have struggled in this situation this year where they've won the previous game and the Magic have covered spreads at home and I'm trusting them to do it here tonight against a bad Brooklyn team.

My second play is on the LA Lakers to win tonight against the Kings. This play is a little contrarian because the Kings have owned the Lakers winning all 3 matchups this year and 7 of the last 8 against the Lakers. The Lakers need this game if they're going to find their way into the playoffs at the end of the season and its tough to envision Lebron getting swept by a Kings team that is coming off a huge win yesterday against the Bucks. The Lakers have the rest advantage and in this situation this year the Kings are 3-7 ATS on a back to back. I didn't want to mess with the spread because it's now three points but I do think the Lakers get it done tonight so I'm paying up a little for the money line here.

1-1 night tonight as the Magic take care of the Nets and cover the spread but the Lakers get manhandled by the Kings again. Sometimes teams just have your number and the Kings with Sabonis now on their team own AD and the Lakers. I saw a stat where AD is now 0-10 against Sabonis which is kind of eye popping considering how good AD is. Sabonis usually has his way against the Lakers though so I guess it makes sense that he has never lost when playing against AD.

Boston Celtics 1H -2.5 -113 1.13u to win 1u

Just one play for me tonight and once again I'm relying on the Celtics to do what they've done for most of the season which is cover first half numbers. The Suns just played the Celtics at home and the Celtics won that game by 10 points including covering the first half number as well. I think back in Boston tonight they are able to jump out to an early lead and cover this short first half number against Phoenix despite the fact the Suns are fully healthy for this game unlike last time when Devin Booker didn't play. I didn't play this full game because I think the Suns with their team healthy can hang with the Celtics here and possibly cover the 6 points but I do trust the Celtics in the first half because as I've stated before the Celtics are the best first half team in the league so it makes sense to ride that trend til the wheels fall off.

New Orleans 1H -3 -108 1.08u to win 1u

Another night with just one play for me and I'm on the Pelicans to cover the first half number against the Clippers. The Pelicans are the second best first half team in the NBA behind only the Celtics so I'm taking them here at home against the Clippers. It also helps that this is the Clippers fifth game in 7th nights so I think they'll be a little fatigued plus their stars are all banged up. The only reason I didn't take the Pelicans full game even though I do lean to them covering that number as well is because the Pelicans have a tendency to blow leads in the second half so there's a chance for a backdoor cover by the Clippers so I'll just take the first half and hope to get in and get out with a win.
