Golden State Warriors/Indiana Pacers u249 -105 1.05u to win 1u

I didn't really like much on tonights NBA card enough to bet it but I did have a play in this Warriors/Pacers matchup on the total. I think 249 points is a lot for this game despite it being a Pacers game which will probably be fast paced. This isn't the greatest of spots for the Warriors who played last night and are on the last leg of an East coast road trip so I can see their offense struggling tonight despite the fact they were able to rest their starters as much as possible last night since they blew out the Sixers. As for the Pacers they still play fast but since they added Pascal Siakem they've slowed down a bit so I see this game staying under this lofty total tonight.

Nice to hit on the under here after the Warriors scored a ridiculous 45 points in the 1st Quarter behind Steph's huge game. The Warriors are making a push to get in the playoffs which isn't far fetched if they stay healthy and continue defending the way they have been since Draymond Green returned to the lineup. They probably won't make a lot of noise this year in the playoffs but I still wouldn't want to see a team with Steph Curry on it if I'm a top West contender this year.

Denver/Sacramento o231.5 -108 1.08u to win 1u

Again this is a card where I'm treading very lightly on so I have just the one play on the total in the Denver/Sacramento game. Denver played last night in LA and got a win but I don't think they're going to be too tired here tonight because prior to that game last night they had a couple of days off. I do think they will still have trouble stopping the Kings on the road though where the Kings usually play better. This should be a faster pace game than Denver normally plays and with Jamal Murray playing in this contest I like Denver and Sacramento to go over 231.5 with relative ease.

Another winner with the over in the Denver/Sacramento game. It turned out to be a blowout but the number easily cleared 231.5 so we'll take it. Big Saturday slate so we'll see if I can find some more winners.

Phoenix/Golden State o242 -108 1.08u to win 1u

First up in the game that tips at 3 pm est I like Dallas and OKC to go over the total. These are two very efficient offensive teams that play at a high pace so I think there will be plenty of points in this one and we get up and over the total.

My second play is on the Suns and Warriors to also go over the total of 242. The Warriors offense has been a juggarnaut since Draymond Green has returned because he's made life easier on Steph. The Suns have no answers for Steph and by the same token the Warriors despite their recent improved play on defense will have trouble slowing down this high powered Suns attack. I took the over for that reason and I think it gets there tonight behind two real good offenses playing each other in a competitive game.

1-1 day today as Dallas/OKC easily goes over but the Warriors didn't go over the total in their incredible last second win over the Suns. We'll see if I have anything on a light NBA card on Super Bowl Sunday.

LA Clippers -4.5 -108 1.08u to win 1u

First up on tonights card I like the Cavs to come out and take care of business against the Sixers. This is simply a play backing a team that is trending upward in the Cavs and fading a team in the Sixers that has mostly been terrible lately. I expect the Cavs to continue to play well tonight and this really is a spot where you could hit the trifecta with 1Q, 1H and FG bets but I chose to go with the 1H because I do think the Cavs are up big at halftime here and I don't want to mess with a double digit spread just in case the Sixers somehow backdoor cover this thing which I don't expect but could happen because you never know.

Next up I took the Clippers -4.5 against the Timberwolves tonight. This is a game that features two of the NBA's best teams but really I think the Clippers are playing better than anyone right now. I expect them to send a message tonight and win this game at home by margin over a visiting Wolves team that I don't think is as good as this Clippers team.

Then in the late game the Clippers got ran out of their own gym by the Timberwolves which shouldn't be surprising since the Wolves are very good defensively and overall as a team but I'm a little surprised this game wasn't at least closer because the Clippers have been playing well recently. Onto tomorrow hopefully I get back on track guys.

Detroit Pistons +11 -114 1.14u to win 1u

First up I like Orlando tonight against the Thunder. The Thunder have been a bet on team this year but lately they've been slipping and losing games outright and ATS. I think the Magic are in a good spot here at home where they've been covering spreads and winning games. You can take them ML as I think they're live to win this game at home but I played it safe and took the +2.5 here because I expect a close game.

Next up I held my nose and took the 11 points with the Pistons tonight against the Lakers. The Pistons have been playing better ball lately as hard as that is to believe. I think they can keep this game against the Lakers relatively close on the road because I believe the Lakers will not take them seriously. They might rest either AD or Lebron and maybe even both guys here thinking that they'll win this one pretty easily. The Lakers might win here but I don't think they'll cover double digits so I'm backing the Pistons.

Tough 0-2 night as both of my plays lost. The NBA is tough lately and it probably something to do with it being close to the All Star break. I'm looking forward to this week being over with so I can regroup and come back next week recharged from the grind of capping this sport every day.

First up on tonights massive NBA card I like Denver to cover 5 at home against the Kings. Denver is coming off a massive blowout loss on the road against Milwaukee and while I don't like that Jamal Murray is out for this contest I do think Denver comes out and puts it on the Kings because they have the rest advantage and are at home where they play much better. This is a bad spot for the Kings who played last night and lost a tough game on the road against the Suns so I'm laying it with the Nuggets here.

Next up I like the Warriors to win tonight against the Clippers. The Clippers have been playing well but Kawhi is out for this game so the Warriors are favored by 3.5. Rather than lay the points I decided to just go the ML route here because I think this is a game the Warriors win at home because they have been hot recently and are showing signs of trending upward. Even if Kawhi were playing I'd still take the Warriors because they need this game much more than the Clippers if they are to avoid the play in tournament which is still on the table for them if they keep winning.

I'm really limping into the all star break as both my plays lose despite the team I backed being up big in the game only to lose outright. Hopefully I bounce back tomorrow but I'm glad its a small slate due to the All star break because I need a break from these games.

Only one play today as I tread very lightly on a short card the day before the All Star break. I like the Warriors and Jazz to go over the total of 240 today. I don't think either team will be interested in expending too much energy on defense today since they're about to go on vacation. I think this will a high paced game where both teams get a lot of easy buckets in transition. I lean to the Warriors winning but this is the second night of a back to back in Utah so I think that the over is the better play here.
