Ok so I win my only play going into the all star break. it hasn't been pretty so maybe the break will do some good and I build on this momentum starting next week when the NBA resumes play.

All right we're back after a long but welcome All star break and I like two teams on the ML tonight. First up I like the Thunder to beat the Clippers at home tonight. These two teams are destined to meet in the playoffs but for tonights game I took the Thunder primarily because they are at home where they won the first matchup between these two teams. They lost the last matchup but that game was in LA. I think they get revenge here at home where they usually dominate teams to the tune of a 21-6 record.

My second play is on the Warriors ML. I think they could cover the 6 points here against the Lakers without Lebron James but I played it safe because while I do think they can cover the 6 I can see the Lakers hanging around here led by Anthony Davis. I still think the most likely outcome is that the Warriors beat the Lakers and continue their recent trend of playing well so I expect that to continue in a game they need to win.

I have three plays tonight on a pretty big Friday card. First up I like Cleveland to cover on the road against the Sixers. Cleveland has been excellent on the road in a back to back going 4-0 ATS and this SIxers team quite frankly is terrible without Joel Embiid. I look for them to get blown out again tonight by a superior road team in the Cavs.

Next up I took the Suns to cover on the road against Houston. Both these teams played last night and lost so there is no rest advantage here but the reason I like the Suns to cover is I just think they're a little better offensively than the Rockets. The Rockets have been very good at home this season but I think they won't be able to keep up with the Suns here so I'm laying 4 here with a desperate Suns team that needs a win to keep pace in the playoff race in the West.

My last play is on the Timberwolves to cover at home against the Bucks. This is interesting game between two top contenders in their respective conferences but I went with the Wolves to cover because I believe in their defense's ability to shut the Bucks down. I don't really trust the Bucks either on the road or at home because they aren't very good defensively and in this case I can't back them on the road against the best defense in the league.

Unbelievable that all three of my plays not only lost but lost outright. Just one of those nights in the association. We'll see if I have anything on today's card or if I take a step back and not make any plays after that disaster last night.

Ok so I do have a play on todays card and its in the prop market since sides and totals are tough to project right now following the all star break. I ended up going with Kristaps Porzingis to score over 19.5 points tonight against the Knicks. He has averaged 24 points a game against the Knicks in their 3 meetings this season and has scored at least 21 points against them in six straight meeting so I think he can go over this number again tonight in what should be a competitive game.

Orlando Magic ML +100 1u to win 1u

Only one play for me today and it's on the Magic ML against the Hawks. The Hawks will be without their star Trae Young for the next 4 weeks and I think a surging Magic team can take advantage of that on the road and win this game. They typically do well against teams that are all offense and no defense such as the Hawks so this is a spot where I'm going to back the Magic to continue their trend of playing well against teams that don't really play defense like the Hawks.

Tough loss yesterday as Orlando never stood a chance against the Hawks. I'll try to find some winners on today's card and get back on track.

Toronto/Indiana o245 -110 1.1u to win 1u

Only one play for me today on a light 4 game NBA card. I took the Indiana/Toronto o245 in a matchup that features two teams that play fast and don't play a ton of defense. I think this will be a competitive matchup so I didn't want to lay 6 points with the Pacers but I do think both these teams put up a lot of points so o245 is the play for me.

I didn't think I'd get home with today's play and then the fourth Quarter happened. 75 points scored in that quarter alone to send the total soaring over. I'll take it though as it's never easy to win in the NBA as evidenced by my record this year.
