Still on my weight loss journey and I am officially down unitsThe guy who started this tracking thread? Did he win?
Is he up units since beginning the thread? Is he at least break even or just down a little?
What's the ROI here?

Everything is fine. I will be doing a weigh in here soon to see where I'm atSilence is violence. I fear the worst for bobby the last 48 hours.

I hope not! That was just a one-time thing, although I do hope I could still enjoy at least one pasta meal a month
The trip to the Pasta place may haunt you Bobby.
To lose 1lb you need a calorie deficit of 3500. Your maintenance calories are probably like 2700. So you need to do 2200/day for a whole week to lose 1lb. That is a lot of work/discipline to do.
What's not difficult is having a 7000 calorie day or a 3500 calorie meal. That will cost you more than a week of progress.
This fundamental asymmetry is why those meals like Olive Garden are a killer. Most people think "I had 21 healthy meals so one bad one isn't a big deal". Wrong.
If he starts to burn more, then metabolism could increase, leading to even more of a deficit when burning calories.
There's an answer here, but it's likely less about what you put in, and more about what you put out.
