Edit by BMR Staff: Heritage explained the communication error to the user and has credited him with his full $631. BMR will consider this case resolved unless the user has any other issues.

Here was the promo

Saw @djefferis took advantage of this promo and saw him say $2,500 was his roll on his $250 deposit. I got confirmation of this via Heritage live chat talking to “Catalina”

1734456453947.jpeg

Made the $250 deposit. Called into Heritage to get the bonus applied and spoke with “Carlos.” After live chatting with “Williford” post-deposit. Both informed me my rollover would be $4,996 and change.

I was upset obviously and “Carlos” could see the live chat from “Catalina” and he told me Heritage would send me back my deposit of $249 and change so it wouldn’t look like I was lied to.

I told him I had a few questions if I was going to take the bonus. I asked them if there were any restrictions on casino games I could play. He said no. I could play any games in the casino to meet my rollover and, in fact, because of the confusion Carlos said he could count sports and casino to this promo for me. He said it was just a promo to get folks interested in playing casino.

So I take the promo and get to work in the casino. Keeping track of my hand play I am playing Baccarat for about $50 or $100 per hand, and a little blackjack, on and off the rest of the afternoon. Until I reach my rollover of $4,996 and change, which is pretty easy to do playing $100 per hand baccarat.

My balance at the time was $437.50.

I even played a couple of more hands to get the balance to $480.

At that point I decide to play the $480 on the Vikings ML last night to win $151. It hits. And my balance is $631 and I put in for a payout. I texted @JDS about how I was really happy with this promo and he said he was thinking about taking advantage of it too. I even posted about me turning the promo into a $631 payout in the “Heritage 12 Days of Christmas Promo” thread I stared.

Then this morning came. I saw my payout had been canceled.

I called in and at first a rep at Heritage told me “this was a casino bonus. Because you played in sports your rollover is now $4,830.

I explained to him that I already met my casino rollover before I played sports. And and regardless Carlos told me I could play both casino and sports or obviously I wouldn’t have. The rep just got loud and told me I had only played $18 in the casino ( which were my net losses for the day in the casino out of dozens and dozens of hands - I knew he was obviously confused). I tried to reason with him but he didn’t understand or didn’t want to.

I called back later and talked to “Cecilia” who once again told me I only played $18 in the casino. This was ridiculous. She also reiterated the “you played in sports so the rollover is $4,830.” I told her what Carlos had told me the day before, and that I had played dozens and dozens of hands for over $5k in the casino before I played the single sport bet at night.

I told Cecilia please just go listed to the recording of the phone call with Carlos

She said she’d have to call Carlos, and talk to the casino (third party I think), and talk to her supervisors, and to call her back in an hour.

I did exactly this, and she said she talked to her managers and they said I would have to meet the rollover. I said I played well over $5k in the casino, why can’t they just look at hand history? She kept repeating over and over that I only played $18 and I’d have to complete the rollover and is there anything else I can help you with. Despite my trying to use logic with her. Pleading with her to check my hand history and go back and listen to my phone call with Carlos.

Cecilia said this was the decision the managers had come to. I asked to speak to a manager. She said she was the manager on duty. There were a group of managers and this was the illogical decision they had come to.

Finally, fed up, I asked her to just send me my original $250 deposit back. Letting her know I was very dissatisfied, especially since I’ve been a customer for over a decade and am down to them lifetime.

Cecilia kept repeating I have to meet the rollover.

Finally I said to just send me my $250 and close my account. She told me to send a BTC addy via email.

So we will see. Obviously very upsetting and disappointing.

sorry to hear, but don't let them freeroll you
Not sure what I can do at this point.

Heritage told me one thing before I deposited, another thing after I took the bonus, and yet another thing after I won, met the conditions of the bonus, and wanted a payout

So you did request the original deposit back and and waiting on payout?
Yes. That rep Cecilia finally said to email a BTC address.

Very upsetting leaving $381 on the table that cleared through rollover exactly as I was told.

I don’t know if by their logic they are saying only “net losses” or “net gain” on casino counts to that 5k rollover but no one would ever be able to clear.

I played more than $5k in hands in their casino just like I was told by Carlos. Choosing the game/games of my liking since I was told there were no game restrictions.

My net losses. Or what they call “non-posted” casino until your daily figure generates at midnight PST, was minus $18.

After I made sure to meet my casino roll by playing more than $5k in hands I played the one single sports bet that netted $151 for a $631 total.

Following instructions just as Heritage customer service rep Carlos had told me to.

Ridiculous handling on the part of the book here in my opinion.

Before I start on my rant though - let me remind the powers that be at BMR this is a SPONSOR book - would seem to be the perfect opportunity to step in and mediate a dispute between a book who advertises here and a valued poster on the site.

Now - this appears to be in my opinion simply a poorly planned promotion on the part by the book. Since the funds were applied as “cash” there were no restrictions on the customer - in theory a player very easily could have simply sent $250 - got $500 in available cash ($250 plus the $250 bonus) - played a 5-1 dog and if it hit took a shot at the book on a single shot casino play to make the rollover.

Worse - it was never specified in the T&C that it had to be digital casino play or any specific game type - casino COULD include live casino play. And again - nothing in the T&C said “ no sports play until casino RO met.

This to me comes down to 2 issues - both are problems the book is responsible for - not the player:

- When running this promo - book SHOULD have had the ability to separate casino funds from general account funds - I/E a “bonus casino” where you can only use bonus funds granted. This eliminates the issues encountered here.

- providing a comprehensive T&C on usage. Further - I would have expected the book to put a reasonable limit on winnings from this promotion - say “max win $10.000” in case someone played and hit a jackpot.

Since the book failed to do either - that ambiguity is 100% on them. It’s simple - books make the rules - players follow them. Players don’t have the opportunity to amend the terms - so if something’s missed/not clear - it’s the books fault.

Beyond that - we are talking a grand total of $480 and processor charges here - as a book - to me it’s simple. Pay the player - tell them if you must any future promos will be more tightly controlled and f you feel the player is doing something wrong here - politely decline future deposits and close their account (not that I think there’s anything wrong here of course - only pointing out the books rights).

Bad look on Heritage - playing games over $500. They pay a lot more than that to fly their banners across the web - but are willing to create issues for such a small amount. While you’re at it why not toss a token cash prize BMRs way for a contest or something ?

I’m still active there and they have been good to me - others have reported minor issues I know. But to me this one is one that could make me reconsider future deposits and use of the book I’ve been with since before they acquired all the BetJam customers.

I wonder if the casino rollover was restricted to certain games only and he told you wrong

These days many sites like to exclude blackjack and other games on the rollover when offering bonuses and it’s bullsh!t as soon as I see that I say hell no and move on

Wow. I can't tell if they are purposefully trying to roll you or if it is due to some lack of communications between groups on their end.

The $18 casino play issue is nuts. If they pulled up your hand history they would have clearly seen $100 plays per hand and noted that the $18 was BS. The fact they wouldn't pull that info up seems to indicate they are trying to roll you. How else could they explain it?

As mentioned by others, I could easily see how they screwed up saying sports plays count (and shouldn't have said that). BUT, that is irrelevant since you made the rollover requirement in the casino anyway.

Complete disaster by them all for $500.... Not a good image.

I can’t speak to what BigJay was told - but I can speak to what I was told and that is ALL games eligible.

I asked specifically and was told ANY casino action counted.

Obviously games like VP/Baccarat/BlackJack are much more advantageous to the bonus player over say slots - even in an online casino.

And as I said - it’s 100% on the book to address the most common issues in their T&C BEFORE posting a promo - not make up new rules after to address their shortcomings. Obviously no book can outsmart every shot taker out there - but this isn’t that. This is a player abiding by the rules and getting shafted because the book poorly executed a promo and over a lousy few hundred bucks.

I made absolutely sure and Carlos said verbatim “no game restrictions in the casino. You can play whatever you like.”

I wish someone with some sense over there would just listen to my recorded call with Carlos.

Every bit of proof of what I told them is in that 10-minute phone call

Yes Tank.

They are very confused about my casino action.

I played well over $5k worth of hands in the casino to meet the roll before I even played a sports bet anyway.

Heritage reps saying I only played $18 in the casino yesterday is blatant incompetence

Is this promo still up ?
It was a one-day deal as part of Heritage 12 Days of Christmas - their 12/16 promo

The ironic thing is I was the one who started the “Heritage 12 Days of Christmas” thread at BMR to help promote their offerings this Christmas season

All games may have been available, but some books also break them down in percentages and games like blackjack can only count like .10 or less on the dollar each bet

I’m not saying that’s the case here I’m just trying to think of different scenarios where things went wrong

Either way they need to come up with a better explanation

Sounds like you are right here. I would open a complaint form and see if more can be credited your way.

Expectations seemed clear what was needed when you made the deposit. You met expectations and then even gambled beyond it on something else. At least you weren’t just trying to barely make a rollover and cash out right away.
