Here are my two picks for Saturday's Wild Card games. First up I like Houston +3 at home against the Chargers. Everybody is on the Chargers in this game and that to me is a reason to like Houston. I feel like Houston's defense will be able to slow down the Chargers offense just enough so that they can take advantage of field position and win this game. I took the 3 points but you could sprinkle on the ML because I think Houston is a live dog here at home against the Chargers thanks in large part to their defense.

In the nightcap I like Baltimore and feel like this line is too low. Pittsburgh has trouble moving the ball and putting points up on the board which I think doesn't bode well in this game because to me Baltimore will be able to march up and down the field even against this stout Pittsburgh defense. Pittsburgh is going to have to put up at least 20 points to win this game and I'm not sure they can do that. I like Baltimore to win this one in blowout fashion so I laid the 9.5 points here.

I got a couple of NCAAB plays today. First up I like Pittsburgh to bounce back at home today against Louisville. Pittsburgh got obliterated by Duke in their last game but they're still a good team and now they return home to face Louisville. I think they will be able to find their footing at home against a good but depleted Louisville team and cover the short number here.

In the Kentucky/Mississippi State game I think this line is too wide. MSU is a good basketball team but Kentucky is coming off a loss and does the one thing on offense that MSU struggles to defend which is shoot the three ball. I think Kentucky will be motivated to play better here after losing by double digits on the road their last time out. This is a spot where I think the underdog is live to win but I'm taking the 6 points of cushion here with the Cats who I think have a pretty good chance to get a road victory here.

Three plays tomorrow and i decided to take three sides here although I lean over in the Buffalo game. Ultimately I decided to lay the points because I think Buffalo is going to be able to move the ball up and down the field against Denver making it tough for Denver to keep up with them. As much as Bo Nix has impressed me this season I don't think Denver can win a trackmeet with Buffalo so I expect Buffalo to kind of boatrace Denver here kind of like what Baltimore did to Pittsburgh.

In the Green Bay game I think the Packers are live to win this game. They can draw on their experience from last season when they came within a few plays of making the conference championship game. I think this will be a back and forth game so getting five points with the Packers seems too good for me to pass up.

In the nightcap I like Tampa Bay to win and move on against Washington. Jayden Daniels won't be fazed by the moment as he has shown he has the poise of a veteran QB. However, I like how Tampa Bay has played all year on offense led by Baker Mayfield and I don't think Washington can slow them down. I look for Tampa to control the game with their running game and then hit Washington with some explosive passing plays to win and cover this game.

2-1 night as the Rams handle Minnesota easily and Memphis covers despite losing outright to Houston. Unfortunately I didn't have a perfect night since the UCLA game crept over during the final minute after looking like I had a good chance at a winner with the under. Hopefully I keep it going tomorrow with a bigger day of hoops action in both college and the NBA.
