All right we go 2-0 tonight as the Rockets got back on track against a depleted Mavs team and the Kings cruised at home against the Suns in a bounce back spot for the Kings after their disaster of a performance against the Celtics. I hope to keep this going on tomorrow's big slate before taking a day off Christmas Eve since there are no games and then having maybe a play or two on the 5 game Christmas card.

Orlando Magic +2.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u
Oklahoma City Thunder -3 -115 1.15u to win 1u

I'm fading both the Indiana Pacers and LA Lakers today because I think making the finals of that in season tournament wore them out and ever since then they've both been struggling. I think Orlando should find their offensive footing against a Pacers team that doesn't play much defense. I think they're live to win here but I'm only on the spread just to be safe.

As for the Thunder I think they win the game against the Lakers today at home and I really think their offense will get going in an uptempo game that's close for a while before the Thunder pull away in the second half against a tired and inconsistent Lakers team thats lost 4 in a row.

I have to settle for a split today as the Magic get a needed win on the road against the Pacers who still can't defend but the Lakers and notably Lebron couldn't miss today so they beat the Thunder on the road before returning home for their Christmas Day showdown with the Celtics back home in LA. No games Sunday but I'll try to find some winners for the big slate on Christmas Day and post them here.

Boston Celtics -4.5 -108 1.08u to win 1u
Denver/Golden State o234.5 -110 1.10u to win 1u

I got two plays on this nice 5 game Christmas card. First I like the Celtics to take care of the rival Lakers on the road. I just think that the Lakers poured their energy into winning that last game against the Thunder that they won't be able to keep up with the visiting Celtics here. This should be close for a while but I think the C's pull away and ultimately cover the spread on the road.

My second play is on the Warriors and Nuggets to go over the total. I expect the Nuggets to put up a boatload of points today against the Warriors who will really miss Draymond in this game. Jokic should be able to do whatever he wants inside and so will the rest of his teammates. I think the Warriors offense will play with enough pace to speed this one up and send the total over.

1-1 day on Christmas as the Celtics did what I expected and pulled away slowly in the second half enough to cover the spread. Unfortunately I lost by the hook in the Nuggets/Warriors game as I needed one more bucket or free throw to go over the total. Back at it Tuesday on a big 9 game slate so hopefully I'm able to find some winners.

Houston Rockets -3 -110 1.1u to win 1u
Jaren Jackson Jr. o19.5 points -114 1.14u to win 1u

Just two plays today on a 9 game card. I like Houston to cover at home against the Pacers. Again I don't think the Pacers have been the same since the in season tournament and Houston has been dominant at home so I like them to cover the short number here tonight against the visiting Pacers.

My second play is Jaren Jackson Jr. to go over his points prop. I think that he can get 20 against the Pelicans as he done this 9 out of the last 10 games. Even with Ja Morant back to soak up usage I still like JJJ tonight because Ja makes life easier for all of his teammates especially JJJ.

Tough one today as Houston blew a late lead at home and lost to Indiana and JJJ missed going over his point prop by the hook. Ironically he missed a free throw that would have won the game for his team in regulation but also would have lost my bet for me because I needed that overtime for a shot to win my bet and unfortunately he only scored 4 points in Overtime so the bet still lost.

Oklahoma City Thunder -3 -109 1.09u to win 1u

Just one play for me tonight as I don't want to force plays just to bet. I went with the Thunder because of the spot for New York. They won against the Bucks on the road on Christmas and now have to travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder who are another tough team to play on the road. The Knicks have done well in these spots so that does concern me but I think the Thunder are more than capable of beating this Knicks team and covering this short spread at home so that's why I'm on them.

Nice winner tonight with the Thunder at home. The Knicks made it close for a while in the second half but the Thunder shot lights out tonight and eventually pulled away. I'll take it though after last nights tough 0-2 night. On to tomorrow which features an 8 game slate so hopefully I find some more winners.

New Orleans Pelicans 1H -4.5 -113 1.13u to win 1u
Golden State Warriors -3.5 -105 1.05u to win 1u

First up tonight I took New Orleans to cover the first half number against the Jazz at home tonight. The Pels should be plenty pissed tonight after their heart breaking loss in overtime to Memphis the other night in a game they probably should've won in regulation. That said I think they will come out and put it on a tired Jazz team that is ready for their 5 game road trip to end so they can go back home where they play much better.

My next play is on the Warriors to cover at home tonight. Golden State has played much better lately since Draymond getting suspended forced them to change their lineup. Jimmy Butler maybe not playing helps but I think the Heat are in a bad spot here on the road against a Warriors team that is playing well lately and should be able to shoot better at home than they did on the road against Denver on Christmas day.

1-1 night last night as New Orleans covers the first half number against a scrappy Jazz team who did manage to beat the full game spread last night so its good I only took first half. Unfortunately for me the Warriors couldn't do anything offensively as they went ice cold shooting the rock against Miami. I'll settle for a split but that's always a little disappointing. Onto today's slate and hopefully some more winners.

Orlando Magic ML +100 1u to win 1u
Atlanta Hawks PK -105 1.05u to win 1u
Oklahoma City/Denver o236.5 -110 1.1u to win 1u

First up today I took Orlando to bounce back on the ML. This one was tough for me because I think the Knicks will keep it close here on the road but I ultimately went with the Magic because they got embarrassed at home by Philly last game and I think they bounce back here and come away with the win because they've been really good at home this year for the most part.

My second play is on the Hawks at home to win their matchup with the Kings. The Kings have been wildly inconsistent and they play much better at home so I think fading them here on the road is the play because they don't play very good defense and the Hawks have one of the best offenses in the league so I'm backing the Hawks here at home.

Last up I'm taking the Thunder and Nuggets to go over the total. I expect a lot of points here because the Nuggets despite playing last night are fairly well rested because they didn't exert much energy since they won in blowout fashion so I think they will put maximum effort into this game which I expect to be closer. I think the Thunder try to speed this one up because the Nuggets play at a methodical pace and if the Thunder play at that pace they won't win so their only chance is to play at their pace which is usually pretty fast and leads to plenty of points.

Frustrating night tonight as I go 1-2 but probably could've easily gone 2-1 but the Hawks in typical Hawks fashion blew a 23 point lead at home and lost outright. The Kings have been that team for me that I just can't get right and usually when I'm wrong I bet against them and they go on to win. In this case though it looked like I was right for 3 Quarters but NBA basketball is a 48 minute game which is why you see so many comebacks like this one in this league with how good these guys are at scoring the ball and how little defense is emphasized. All I can do is shrug and move onto tomorrow's 6 game slate to try and get back on track.

Indiana Pacers -4 -113 1.13u to win 1u
Minnesota Timberwolves -4.5 -115 1.15u to win 1u

First up I like the Pacers tonight at home to take care of a reeling Knicks team. The Knicks shook up their roster and added OG Anunoby from the Raptors in exchange for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley but obviously he won't be in the lineup tonight. I think that trade will be good for the Knicks in time but tonight I like the Pacers to run them out of the gym as the Knicks are on the second night of a back to back on the road which won't help with them being shorthanded tonight.

My next pick is on the Wolves at home tonight to cover against the Lakers. The Lakers have won a couple lately but they've lost 5 out of their last 7 and this isn't a great matchup for them with or without AD and Lebron who are both listed as questionable like they always are. Even if those two play I like the Wolves at home here because I don't think the Lakers can slow down this Minnesota offense on their home floor.

I'll take the 1-1 day but it felt right up until the last minute that Minnesota should've covered. The Lakers hung in there though and almost came back to win before ultimately falling just short. At least the Pacers did what I expected and ran the Knicks out of their gym. The Knicks hung in there for a half but the Pacers offense is just too good and the Knicks couldn't get stops in the second half so Indiana pulled away for a comfortable blowout victory.
