It's Mike Minor for the Reds today. Sometimes you have to just keep it simple and ride the wave. For the season, Minor has a 2-10 record with a 6.44 ERA. He's coming off an outing where he pitched 5.2 innings and his team provided 9 runs of support. Although Washington's pitcher is a relative unknown, I trust the young talent on Washington more.

Pick: Nationals ML (-145) v. Reds

A lot of people are going to try to catch action on the last college football game of the night. I see a pretty strong angle with the under in this game with both offenses replacing a ton of starters from last season. The weather also looks to be conducive to the under with strong gusts of winds throughout the game.

Pick: Vanderbilt v. Hawaii under 54.5 (-105)

Pivetta coming off a loss for the Red Sox in his last outing. I think Boston will get the sweep today as it looks like they are playing better and getting a rhythm against the Rays. Small angle here but going to continue to trust it.

Pick: Red Sox ML (-105) v. Rays

Anderson is not a good pitcher and it being his first start in months, I can see the Cardinals line up taking advantage and eating his pitches up. Mikolas is also coming off a loss in his last outing so it's a good bounceback spot for him. After taking 2 of 3 against the defending champs in the Braves, it looks like the Cardinals are in a good rhythm and have won 7 of their last 10 overall. I think they continue the positive vibes tonight.

Pick: Cardinals -1.5 (-130) v. Reds

Wake Forest is the clear superior team in this bout but there are a lot of question marks heading into the new season. I think they will win but this game will be a little more competitive than the 5 touchdown spread the oddsmakers are suggesting. If VMI can convert first downs and extend their drives, they will be able to keep this within a respectable margin. I don't see Wake running away with it the first game of the year.

Pick: VMI +32 v. Wake Forest

Great AL East matchup tonight between the Yankees and Rays. German and Springs. Rays have won 3 straight and are looking great as they into tonight's matchup against the struggling Yankees, who have lost 4 of the last 5 games. Head to Head, Tampa Bay does well against the Yankees and I'm going to back the home team in better recent form tonight to get it done.

Pick: Rays ML (-125) v. Yankees

The Houston Astros absolutely dominate this division. But Ohtani is on the mound tonight and he'll always give your team a chance to win. He is always hammering the strike zone and forces the action. Luis Garcia is starting for Houston tonight and he hasn't been very sharp this season. He's just blessed with a very very good team behind him. The Astros have won 4 in a row while the Angels have flip flopped W/L their last 5 games. Coming off a loss last night, let's hope that pattern continues today in Houston.

Pick: Angels ML (-125) v. Astros

The Reds are performing slightly better than their opponents when you look at recent form. Colorado has lost 3 in a row and have only manufactured 4 runs in those 3 games. This being the first game of a doubleheader, they may be looking ahead to as they head out tonight to go back home to Colorado. The pitching match up favors the Reds as well. Marquez has been struggling for the Rockies with an ERA of nearly 5. Colorado is also resting a few starters at 1B and LF today.

Pick: Game 1: Reds ML (-125) v. Rockies
Units: 1

Great spot for the home team today going up against a Blue Jays team starting Berrios. I'm not a big fan of Berrios and the Baltimore team has been doing very well since the trade deadline. I think this is a great value spot and I wouldn't be surprised if they take both games in the double header today.

Pick: Orioles +120 v. Blue Jays (Game 2)

The Blue Jays are on fire, winning 5 straight games. The Orioles have lost 3 straight. Two teams moving in opposite directions, but I am fading starter Mitch White tonight and backing the Orioles. I think this is a great regression spot and I see the home team getting up early and closing out to the win. They've been unlucky with RISP the last few games and I think a couple of those balls will find the outfield today.

Pick: Orioles ML (-105) v. Blue Jays

Not trolling, but when are you gonna update that record & juice ? Feel like I’ve been looking at those same numbers for a month.

Going to fade Zack Greinke tonight as he's only 4-8 this year with an ERA above 4. It'll be a bullpen game for Cleveland but they are playing much better taking the first two games of the series. They are also a much better team on the road compared to being in Cleveland in the last few weeks so I'm going ride that trend.

Pick: Guardians ML (-140) v. Royals
