Been watching the college baseball game was pleasant to watch. Then l turn to the news and l wish l hadn’t. Fourteen kids and one teacher shot dead at an elementary school. Just makes me sick what’s wrong with people.

Well l think we can learn from Japan? To buy and own a gun you must go through a rigorous gun training class snd get certified. Don’t know Japan’s specifics but thinking a passport type thing you buy a gun your responsibility is that gun. Now this isn’t a quick fix as current gun owners will be grandfathered in but if you want to buy a new gun you must get certified and the passport. If a current gun owner wants to sell their gun the government will buy from them over face value. Like l said no quick fix but our children’s children will be safer. No more buying your kids guns for their 18th birthday till they get certified. Also these classes will do rigorous background checks. Don’t see why the NRA would object these animals are giving guns a bad name. Australia got rid of assault rifles but that’s a pipe dream for us.
