i never understood why the average person would need an AR
For when the IRS or local law enforcement come with out probable cause or a warrant.

There is no exclusive use of force in America, and frankly that fact is the ONLY thing holding this Country together at the moment.

Without the States being able to form a militia, Washington would have undone Federalism under FDR or LBJ.

I guess I’m not average then. I’ve owned ARs since I got out of the military 40 years ago, and I just called my wife in FL (I’m in Houston for the NRA convention tomorrow) to open both my gun safes and check their status and she reports that they have not gotten out and shot anyone.

Look I’m just being a smart ass, but unless you have actually gone to a range or in the woods and fired one you don’t know what fun your missing
well youre above average because you were in the military! thank you for your service btw. my dad is a former marine and has his own AR locked away. grew up with my dad teaching me how to shoot and about gun safety. BUT think about all the people that can have access to AR's without that military experience or training, or any gun safety knowledge for that matter

Like l shared earlier in thread my buddy retired SFPD weaned his boys on guns and when they turned 18 they I’m sure were responsible enough to buy a gun if they so choosed. But turning 18 and running to the gun store and buying high powered automatic rifles Willy Nilly. What could go wrong?

Honestly, w the recent decision to up the smoking age to 21, since booze is 21, as a pragmatic person, I'd go along w raising the gun buying age to 21 in exchange for increasing the voting age to 21 w similar ID check.

In fact, I think the entire GOP & NRA membership would get behind that quid pro qou.

But Democrats would never agree, because that type of gun control makes sense.

Bro, i can’t even think about parkland. Lost some good friends in that shit. That campus cop refused to go in and i remember my dad raising hell calling the guy a pussy for not doing his job and protecting the kids. I feel if anyone has that kind of job, they must go through proper training. Not everyone has the guts or heart to protect others

I think ppl need to accept the fact that sometimes something happens so fast there's nothing you can do

We are not gods or magicians or special powers to just teleport somewhere instantly

Someone could walk up and shoot me right now and how was there time for anyone to get here to help?

Sometimes there's just nothing anyone can do

it took them 77 minutes to finally enter the room. my only question right now is weather or not sheriff rubio knows that his daughter was one of the captured victim during that time coz if i'm the father geared with body shield and guns, f*** my superior consent, i will break that wall to save my daughters life.

Yes I understand I think most of us would risk our own lives to step in

I just think ppl and parents are angry and blaming everyone except the crazy person who actually did it

The unfair part is, shooters always end up dead. I want to see them alive and start torturing them before they die.
Heck yeah I totally agree with that I've always said don't kill them just wound them and then let their punishment be locking them in a room alone with the families of the victims and whatever happens, happens

Damned if he did and damned if he didn't. If he did something stupid and not thinking clear and caused more kids to be shot up, how do you live with that. He is mind fvcked forever.
