I'm outing myself as an economics nerd here, but legal abortion is correlated with a lower crime rate.

The basic idea is that the demographic of people who grow up to be criminals is the same demographic of fetuses that are aborted. The video below does a good job of summarizing it. I don't know how many people base their opinion on abortion based on the crime rate, but with yesterday's Supreme Court ruling brace yourself for a crime spike 18 years from now in the areas that are banning abortion.

The FEDERAL Government has no business in abortion. It's not a FEDERAL right, it is nowhere in the Constitution either, so as the Constitution says, all other business of Government not explicitly covered by the Constitution, is reserved to the States.

Many States will still have abortion.

Truth is- Gay Marriage actually should be a State by State issue as well.

Personally, I think we should expand abortion as mandatory for all offspring of felons, male and female, no questions asked, and for anyone on Fed, Stare, County financial assistance.

Yup. Bill Clinton did take credit for a reduction in crime, but he was hardly alone. Pre 9/11 Rudy Giuliani's whole schtick was taking credit for a lowered crime rate. There were a bunch of others too.

Sadly, people always seem to buy that any good or bad aspect of society is solely due to whatever politician is governor or president. Politics is not an IQ test, it's a popularity contest. We pay the price for that.
