Thanks keith, but I don't know why I would be a target because I'm making my health better and for losing weight. Sometimes I'm dumb like that.No matter where your journey ends up I admire your bravery in putting yourself out there for all the criticism and snide remarks you were bound to get.
I certainly wouldn't do it myself and I doubt very very few people here would be willing to make themselves a potential target. Carry on sir.
The low-carb diet allows people to eat up to 50 grams of carbs a day so you don't have to give them up altogether. Sometimes I do like I had a double chicken bowl at Chipotle with no rice, no beans and just sour cream and cheese on top. I don't really need the beans and rice but I could have small amounts of them if I wanted. I guess that leaves more of the 50 grams of carbs I can have that day.
I just watched a video today of a diabetic guy who tries different foods and then charts his blood sugar levels over the following 2 hours. He showed how blackberries and raspberries don't spike your blood sugar so I'm going out to buy some and I'll have them with cream for a dessert after a meal. Another item is apples with peanut butter. The peanut butter causes the sugars in apples to be digested more slowly. Of course, it's always best to have the carbs with a meal so it takes longer to get absorbed.
