That was more like what it cost you in gas/parking/train ride to get there. Been fortunate haven't been called in a really long time but the shit paid dollars back than. Took a bigtime hit in your paycheck unless you had it in your contract at work

I've got an easy out every time, now.

Become friends with a cop and throw their name down at jury questioning. One of my poker buddies is the head of the detectives. He is almost always overseeing the major cases. They always ask if you know a cop. I tell them I know Detective Dave, his wife, their kids and start naming them, to show how close our families are.... They always say.... Nevermind. You're excused.
