I had a partner whose 10k balance was seized after playing for 4 months there, and taking out 30k more than he deposited. They cited a rule that it must be legal to bet online wherever you are. Costa Rica and US are the same for this rule -- they aren't licensed in any state, so they have the option to seize your balance if they choose. It's a "gotcha" rule that they only enforce on winners. He bet mostly from Costa Rica (they don't block it there like Bovada does) and their rules say nothing about Costa Rica. Just try to guess where it's legal.

So buyer beware. Their rule allows them to seize basically any player balance.

I expect them to ignore or deflect on the point about all US players being in violation of their rules. If the process shows that they are thieves without reason, I have no hope for more.

It was never an issue before today.

Not sure if they are making changes or it's a pure coincidence.

Well, this is opening a can of worms. BMR, if you're listening, we really need nitrogen to address OP's friend's account and how it does or does not relate to U.S. players, assuming they file a complaint. I'm feeling very insecure about funds I currently have locked up there.

They are known to be rogue from time to time and for unpredictable reasons. I try to keep my balance on the low end of what I think I need to bet with them. This time of year I don't use them and take it all out.

I wrote to them with a complaint. They replied asking some questions 10 days ago. I replied within the hour. It has been crickets since then. I hope they are looking into it and not just blowing me off.

Nitrogen made no effort to restrict or quibble about play from a restricted location until I was profiled as a winner and had my limits cut. They didn't seemed to mind deposits, bets, withdrawals from Costa Rican IPs, or US IPs until the day my limits were cut to pennies. Then the payouts stopped and my funds were seized.

Keep fighting and spreading this story but there is no real recourse. They are a known sketchy shop. Sorry you got caught in their crosshairs. Cost of doing business. That's why during my slow summer season I don't leave any $$$ there even if I would make some bets from time to time. Not worth it.

Yeah definitely an expensive lesson learned. If I can get my money that would be great. Mostly I just wanted to highlight this to minimize the risk of it happening to someone else, and put the word out that these guys are essentially free rolling themselves versus a large segment of their players:

I last heard from BMR on May 14th and replied to their initial questions that same day. I wrote a follow-up yesterday (May 21st) at 9am. Is there something else I should do? BMR isn't responding.
