Georgia Bulldogs -11.5 -107 1.07u to win 1u
Miami/Florida o54 -108 1.08u to win 1u

Just these two selections for me today and of course both are in college football. I like #1 Georgia to make a statement against #14 Clemson today. Yes the line has come down from -13.5 so I'm getting a better number here but the line has come down because some sharp groups bet Clemson and books moved the line. I disagree here I think Georgia has less question marks than Clemson and Clemson other than having a Quarterback in Cade Klubnik who is in his second year in this offense as well as all of its skill position players back will have trouble slowing down Georgia imo. Georgia reloaded this offseason so even though they lost quite a bit from last year they replaced all those guys with experienced players from the transfer portal and blue chip recruits. I think they blow out Clemson here and firmly establish themselves as number 1.

My second play is on the Miami/Florida rivalry game and I decided to take the over here. Full disclosure here I couldn't pick a side in this one because even though Miami is the more talented team at least on paper the Swamp is a very tough place to play and I actually think the Gators can pull off the upset at home. The reason I'm taking the over though is both teams are extremely talented offensively and I see a lot of points being scored in this one. The number is at the key number of 54 but I think this one goes over without any trouble because how explosive both offenses are so over is the play for me.

Yes and I almost had a play on the third which is arguably the best game of the day in Notre Dame vs Texas A&M. I lean Texas A&M in that one because I think they will wreak havok on Riley Leonard especially at night in College Station. Notre Dame is breaking in a brand new offensive line and that's concerning especially given how much of a home field advantage Texas A&M has. I didn't get to the window on this one but if I did I would bet Texas A&M because they have the edge in returning production, home field, not to mention Notre Dame's biggest weakness is their offensive line which Texas A&M should be able to exploit with their NFL ready talent on the defensive line.

Good question I'm not really sure I can answer why kids enter the transfer portal these days and do it repeatedly in some cases. There are several reasons that all go into it so it could be any number of those things like playing time, closer to home, maybe prestige of the program is better for exposure things of that nature. All I know is coaches use the transfer portal as a huge part of their recruiting strategy now because there so many good players that enter the transfer portal these days.

Pretty sure the ENTIRE country will be watching Clem/Georgia today. Feels like a National Title Game on Week 1.

I've got no clear read on that game. I lean Georgia but these early season matchup with titans worry me if one or the other will come out flat (unlikely with these coaches but...).

Of course I'm on Fla on the mid-afternoon game.

Ok Nice easy 2-0 day to get things really started. Clemson is falling off because as I pointed out in another thread they're simply at a talent disadvantage despite being an upper tier program. Georgia started slowly but then as I suspected Clemson just wasn't able to stop them as the game went on. As for the second play Miami was impressive as they dismantled Florida in Gainesville. Miami is a team to keep an eye on this year because I'm not sure that ACC is that strong so the Canes very well could win it.

LSU Tigers -4 -108 1.08u to win 1u

Just going with one play tonight on the showdown between LSU and USC. I see a lot of people are taking USC and the line has adjusted accordingly to -4 for LSU. The angle on this one for me is that favorites of 3 or more in top 25 matchups either at home or neutral fields are 14-4 SU and 13-5 ATS since 2013. This tells me that there's value on LSU tonight and I'm getting a cheaper price than the opener so I like LSU to cover.

LSU Defense was terrible. I can't believe they couldn't stop USC.
I wish Kelly is on the hot seat but I doubt that would be the case after last year's record.

Yeah I don't like Brian Kelly much either. I sort of root for Notre Dame and Brian Kelly was terrible there despite having really good regular seasons. He gets in these big games and he can't seem to win them. I don't know why LSU hired him but he might be on the hot seat soon if this keeps up because the SEC is stacked now that Texas and Oklahoma have arrived.

Ok so I decided to pass on the football game and instead go with a couple of dogs today in MLB. Hopefully these cash but right now I'm sort of burnt out on baseball so I may not make too many more plays on it.

I usuallydon't bet huge spread games but I've got a feeling FSU is going to put a hurting on BC tonight. But, is seems dogs are hanging around in Week 1 so, I'm not sure.

I know you're not on it but did you have a lean?

I do think FSU will play better this week but 16 points is asking a lot. I don't trust them so I have slight lean to the dog. The only thing is I think FSU will be chomping at the bit to show they're better than what they showed in Ireland so I think they could cover here and I simply just don't trust BC because I'm not sure their defense can stop FSU tonight. One thing to look out for here is can FSU stop the run? They couldn't against GT so I think they probably focused on that coming into this game because one thing BC is good at is running the football.
