the last time i ran anything distance was prob a 5k in 2016 and i hated it. didn't do bad honestly, but i absolutely hated it lol. never been a distance runner, only a sprinterBruh I’m sure you could do that

Haha yeah I think a lot of people have experiences that turn them off if it. Like have to do a 2 mile in gym class at an early age or something. no lie i think my "dislike" for distance comes from martial arts. where i trained, one of the "tests" for moving up a higher rank is running 2 miles in under 15 minutes after an entire 1.5hr sparring class. that was the biggest pain in the butt. i remember always feeling like death afterwards, but was also in the best shape of my life

I used to run a lot more. I used it a conditioning tool for basketball when I played in high school and I turned out to really enjoy it and was kinda good at it. I’ve started mixing up more forms of cardio though (like elliptical, biking) because running every day is probably not awesome for the joints in the long haul.
I also must say that martial arts is waaaaaaaaaay cooler than running. That’s badass!!!!!

thats good though! i feel like elliptical is definitely best for the joints. if i want cardio in, i do stairmaster. but yeah martial arts was a huge part of my life dude. if i didn't have injuries id still be training it's good you still play ball!

The stair master is no joke! I've gotten my ass kicked by it a few times lol
I'm so happy I still ball. It's fun to still be able to do team sports (though I'm only 28 so "still" might not be the right word lol), and I've created some friendships from it which is awesome!

Yeah I’m still getting it in about 2-3 times a week. Weight training nothing too heavy & I’m stretching out my back any chance I get between all my workouts. I lack cardio though still to this day lol.100%. have you been able to work out at all recently?
for me, to feel less miserable about not being able to workout as much, i've been trying to be more crafty than usual. for example, painting, crocheting, sculpting. at the moment i have a painting and a blanket in the works, it's quite peaceful. i will gladly make you a blanket lol.
