Don't fall into the trap of more reps with a lighter weight equals safety. Seen more people get hurt or aggravate an injury with being tired with light weights as opposed to being fresh with heavy weights.

thats very true. whenever i do light weight though i focus more on technique and the rep itself rather than busting out a few reps. that way i feel the workout more. trying to definitely be cautious cause back pain is miserable

Technique follows tension and muscle follows strength. Anymore than 5 reps and it is no longer strength work and you start to loose tension and rate of injury goes up.

Always liked a Russian ladder you do 1 rep rest then do 2 reps rest then do 3 reps continue until you get to 5 reps. Start with 50% of what you think you could do for a max. You can always go up from there.
hmm...very interesting. ive yet to do this so i will try it later today when i go and i'll lyk how my back feels after  you keep a consistent weight when you do this right
