I live less than 2 hours from Ashville. Have camped and hiked throughout those mountains my entire life. Personally know many folks who live and work in the surrounding areas. It is exactly as bad as you see in pictures and even worse some places. They are looking at years and years of clean up and repair, realistically it is one of those events that is going to change a place for a long long time maybe forever. But I will say the amount of local and regional help from first responders throughout the state to just normal citizens of communities pitching in has been unbelievable. But locals can only do so much, someone from the federal government needs to step the f*** up and send in some real help. Its getting overwhelming for them there.

George Bush(Republican) FEMA ETC TOTALLY fucked up the response to Hurricane Katrina.
Joe Biden(Democrat) FEMA ETC TOTALLY fucked up the response to Hurricane Helene.
There are more examples I could go on and on.

LOL Katrina response issues are on Ray Nagan, not Bush or the Feds.

Nagan wound up going to jail for corruption & bribery including diversion of funds & contracts related to Katrina.

Bush had the $$ available to the City & County in an expedited manner.

FEMA is turning away aid delivered by average every day Americans concerned for their fellow citizens and threatening them with jail.

First off Kamala or Biden didn't give $750 to anyone that is what was allowed by Fema policy which they have nothing to do with, Congress does that.

Biden nor Harris can send billions to Ukraine or anywhere else. Only congress can approve that money to be sent and well a Republican-led congress voted yes to have that money sent.

There is plenty of aid on the ground and governors from both repub and dem states thanked Biden for getting them what they needed quickly as he approved all aid that has been requested before the storm actually hit.

To date, not a single dollar of disaster relief funding has been used on illegal immigrants. those are two completely separate funding sources and programs under a single umbrella.

Just think we need to get some facts in with all the lies and wild conspiracy theories being tossed around all over online.
