1-2-1 in the NFL today but I learned a valuable lesson as far the 49ers are concerned not to get involved with any more of their games. Their defense is awful and with a lot of guys hurt it's only going to get worse. I will still watch the games but I'm going to be glad in December when I start working Sundays again because I get the feeling that the Niners know their not contenders this year because if they were they would have made a move at the deadline to shore up their non existent pass rush which got no pressure today and basically got exposed again by an elite Rams offense.

Yes it is wise to either fade them or do what I'm doing and not bet their games. I don't want to bet against my team but I can't bet on them anymore because I don't trust them. They can't get any pressure on the Quarterback and their secondary suffers as a result. Just a mess that I am going to avoid as a bettor and save my bankroll.

2-1 night and i should have went with my instinct and played Iowa State on a neutral floor against Mississippi State because I leaned ISU tonight but I went with the total because I thought the netural floor would bring about a more defensive struggle since that is ISU's style and MSU doesn't shoot well. Naturally the game flew over the total but it's all good can't win em all in sports betting.

I will drop the rest of my plays later as I go over the NBA and NHL card but I wanted to lock in my college basketball plays early because we've seen some massive line movement. I took Kentucky here because I honestly don't understand this line. I make it closer to UL -3 since they're at home so I think I'm getting massive value taking Kentucky at +6.5. This is going to be a competitive game so I don't think either team is going to blow the other one out. I'm a little biased in that I think Kentucky will once again win this game so maybe that's clouding my handicap but I think +6.5 is wild especially since most of the handle and the bets are on Kentucky yet the line keeps getting wider.

I think if you're playing the Kentucky game and you don't want to take the points with Kentucky and you feel uncomfortable laying the points with UL then I would take a look at the over 174. I'm adding this to my plays and to be honest I feel stronger about this then I do the side because I'm not sure what to expect in this game other than it will be played at an extremely fast tempo with lots of threes being shot by both teams. UL has eclipsed 100 in both their games this season albeit against weaker competition and UK did the same last time out against Valpo. This game screams a game that ends up being like last years game which wound up a 93-85 final in favor of UK. So give me the over 174 here that can found everywhere on the marketplace.

That game could have went easily to the Wildcats. Better to lose a game like that this early in the season rather than in the Tourny. Two very very good teams.

That surprised me but I could only watch the first half at work and UK's defense was attrocious last night. Louisville's guard play is excellent and Mykel Brown is a bonafide star. UL looks awesome and looks to be a team on the rise. I am not down on the Cats after that game because I have confidence Pope will figure some things out but they cannot play defense like that and expect to win too many games.

Just a quick note about the MSU/Mizzou total play it is now 159.5 but I bet it this morning when it was 156.5. I feel the move is justified and if I were betting now I'd still lean to the over because Mizzou loves to run and gun under Dennis Gates and this is another game that is going to be played at a fast pace so I can't see it staying under.

Yeah I was torn and probably taking the points was the best move because I felt would be close and it was. Purdue is very good and I think Bama will get better as the season goes along but Purdue's returning experience makes them a legit Final Four contender this season.
