Do you start to see strange things after being awake a couple days KR? Like the couch moving on its own?I've given up on my insomnia. I just stay awake a few days and then crash for 11-12 hours.

Nada on the food. And what's for you, Tank?
Not usually T. When I was much younger I used to occasionally have periods up to a week sleeping only 5-6 hours in that time. When that happened sometimes I would hallucinate a tad. No drugs involved either.Do you start to see strange things after being awake a couple days KR? Like the couch moving on its own?![]()
33 1/3 LP on the turntable. My guess this is a very old pic.
I agree about the doctor. I can get to sleep with 2 or 3 beers, but I wake up in the middle of the night and I don't feel rested when I wake up in the morning.Welcome to BMR Forum, @parkerkatherine025.
Sorry to hear about your insomnia. I think it's best if you consult a doctor about it.
Also, how did you hear about us, the BMR?
You have insomnia for how long now, QL?I agree about the doctor. I can get to sleep with 2 or 3 beers, but I wake up in the middle of the night and I don't feel rested when I wake up in the morning.
My doctor suggested I go to a sleep therapist place. They gave me a survey about feeling tired during the day and then I wore this ring that is a pulse oximeter. It measures my pulse and my oxygen levels throughout the night. The ring has Bluetooth so it feeds my data to an app on my phone which uploads it.
Turns out my blood oxygen went down to 83 (normally I'm at 96) so I probably have sleep apnea and may have to wear a CPAP device.
I have an appointment later this afternoon to discuss my results. I'll post here as to what they say. I'm not a fan of having to wear a device on my face. The ring itself caused me to wake up several times during the night.
I never have felt refreshed when I woke up, my whole life. The funny thing is that I wake up 3 or 4 times during the night but I can always, always get back to sleep. You have insomnia for how long now, QL?
It always pays to have a proper check-up from your doctor. I am not going to drink any med w/o proper medication. Especially, if I'm going to drink it for a long period.
Oh wow! That is so tiring, QL. But hope the medical process you're doing now will help. Good luck with your appointment.I never have felt refreshed when I woke up, my whole life. The funny thing is that I wake up 3 or 4 times during the night but I can always, always get back to sleep.
So its not so much not getting enough sleep, it's getting quality sleep.
Yeah, it's just that lately I've been feeling kind of more tired than usual. That's what prompted the doc to have me try the sleep study. I'm no Spring Chicken either. I thought it may be lower testosterone but I had a blood test and that was ruled out. Maybe it's just getting old.Oh wow! That is so tiring, QL. I normally get a headache in the morning if I experience interrupted sleep.
Hopefully, you'll get the answer today from the results.Yeah, it's just that lately I've been feeling kind of more tired than usual. That's what prompted the doc to have me try the sleep study. I used to work with a guy that was a former bodybuilder. He would tell me about taking Rohypnol when he couldn't sleep. That's the date rape drug people put in women's drinks. That drug was readily available through his weightlifting buddies.Quaalude (Rorer) not Lemon, Reds (Seconal, Lily), Yellow Jackets (Pentobarbital), Rainbows (Tuinal) There are others but U get the Gist
