I was 12 and when I had these and I'd have bet every dollar I earned there were 5 HOF cards, if not more, in there.
same. my dad bought a lot of these rookies as we collected. he thought he had my future house payment covered. amazing how so many of these late 80's early 90's guys just didn't do enough or had roids. any roids back then were never even thought of.

i agree. as a kid, he seemed larger than life.

sad that bonds, clemens and rose are not in (yet).
The thing is James. Most of us were in school during his incredible 1988 season

I’ll Never forget it. I think that’s why it seems like Hershiser dominated for a longer stretch than he did.

He was otherworldly that year and honestly just above average to average most of the rest of his career

I bought my nephew a bunch of rookie cards in the early 90s. Sammy Sosa was one of them. I thought if he held on to it for a couple decades he would have some decent cash.

Turns out the baseball card publishers put out so many they had become worthless, even today.

I see some are worth a couple hundred dollars now.
