Beef jerky is horrible now if I was invited to a poster house and they serve me that junk I would just get on my phone and order a pie. Of course I would offer it to anybody that wants it.
Jerky loves him some Jerky !!! That must be so much better than the store brands though.No way you would do that with my homemade jerky. Reminds me, wife & I are opting out of our family’s annual Palm Springs resort trip this year, because we just moved to AZ & are still settling in. But, I gotta find a good meat market up here - been craving some good jerky & now it’s all I’m thinking about…..

Never made my own pipe. I like all kinds of Jerky, even mushroom Jerky, but I want to try filet mignon Jerky.You want traditional Jerky or hamburger Jerky. You ever made your own.? @JDS
I use a dehydrator. Buy yourself a dehydrator or do it in the oven at 200 degrees if you do it in the oven you have to watch it more. some don't go that low. on low low and slow heat Buy yourself a roast and have the butcher slice it really thin.. You need liquid smoke.. salt..and spices found in sporting goods area mixed together jerky seasoning. Soak meat over night in seasoning mixture. Lay single layer on each tray of a dehydrator..Then turn on for minimum of 24 hours.. it may take 48 if thickly sliced. Finally enjoy it brotherNever made my own pipe.
