I miss their old coach John Beilein who was a great coach at scouting talent from players who weren’t heavily recruited and did a great job of developing talent. I know Howard had a good run a couple years ago, but a lot of those players were used to the old system and I’m not liking what I’m seeing out of Howard this season and the last couple games that I’ve watched. I don’t see them making the tournament this year and that really sucks as a UM fan who has grown accustomed to seeing them make the tournament year after year for the last decade or so. I’ll be refraining from betting UM from now on till the end of the season and if I find the right spot I might even bet against them which I hate doing. Their freshman pg can’t stay in front of anyone and their defense as a whole isn’t very good. Coach Howard also hasn’t developed a good enough strategy either for when UM’s center, Hunter Dickinson gets doubled and tripled team. I also hate seeing for the past few years how their guy at the four position can’t hit threes well enough. That was a stable under Coach Beilein for his team to have four capable shooters on the floor who could drill it from 3. Will have to wait and see I suppose, but I don’t see Juwan Howard being the future for Michigan unless he brings in highly recruited talent like a Coach Cal at Kentucky does.Yeah they are going down unfortunately
