Real casinos pay 6-5 on lower limits

The invention of the 6-5 table is just criminal.

Criminal I tell you.

I maintain it's one of the single biggest transfers of "wealth via EV" from the player to the house that we've seen in the modern gambling world.

Disgraceful.

Yep!
What you gonna do though? If you want to play, you take what's offered. The books/casinos know they got you by the short and curlys.

I'm always telling people when I'm at the casino playing 6-5 BJ they are getting screwed over. Most don't care or don't understand I guess.

Dealers will always say "what difference does it make? How often do you get a black jack?"

You know what I say to that?

I say...

Play a $5 single deck (MUST be single deck), table & start with $5. Play by the book - don’t do things like hit on 18 when the dealer’s showing a 6 or anything else stupid. You win, pocket the $5 and keep playing $5. If you lose, bet $10, and if you win, go back to $5. Basically, double each loss but always go back to $5 - $5, $10, $20, $40, $80, $160, $320. If you somehow miraculously lose 7 in a row (has NEVER happened to me, BTW) and get to $320, stop, walk away, go drink. I’ll do this in Vegas if I’ve got a few hours to kill because it’s a slow burn and a grind to walk away with a few hundred bucks.

Oh, and ‘by the book’ splits and double-downs are like ‘free play’ hands and don’t count against your bank roll.

Good Luck!
This is good advice, it worked for me a couple of times. But not always.
