This really isn't based much on what I saw in Week 1, which was definitely encouraging if you're a New England fan. I think this team has been a little bit undervalued from the jump, and this game is no exception. Remember, I have Miami winning the AFC East. So I have a lot of faith in them in the big picture. But I think this will be a challenging game for them.

First and foremost, I have faith in the Patriots being able to force the Dolphins to be a one-dimensional passing team. And while that may not detract Miami backers -- they basically were one-dimensional against the Chargers -- I think throwing all over the Patriots will be a much tougher task. The Patriots simply have much better personnel to challenge perimeter speed of the Dolphins, and it is also very unlikely Tua/Hill are gonna go off like that again. I like those guys a lot, but back-to-back performances of that level is hard against any defense -- let alone against a tough one that is extremely well-coached. As great as the Dolphins looked through the air, I think it's going to be tough for them to get the run game going. They struggled a bit, and while I like their OL from a pass-protecting standpoint, their run-blocking isn't nearly as strong. They will figure it out as the season goes on, but I don't think their running game is in tune yet.

On the other side of the ball, the Dolphins showed some vulnerability -- especially against the run. Again, I think this is something they can eventually figure out, but I think the Patriots will be able to control to ball with a strong running game and move the sticks. They also will likely get some play-action opportunities out of this; I don't expect a huge game from Mac Jones, but I think he will be able to make a couple of big plays that could play a huge difference here.

Big picture: I think both of these teams are a little underrated. In this spot -- New England team needing a win at home in primetime -- plus some favorable match-ups, I think the Patriots get it done. I thought about taking the money line because I think they will win this one outright, but gonna settle with taking 3 points while it's available.

Patriots also going to wear their red uniforms, and I think they play better in those (maybe I'm wrong, but they look cool)

This alone makes this bet so so strong in my book!

Tee Higgins over 60.5 receiving yards -110

First player prop of the year! Tee is coming off one of the worst games of his career, though it is mostly a result of Burrow having the worst game of his career.

There are natural bounce back angles that I like about this game for Cincinnati as a whole, but I especially think Higgins could be due for a very big bounce back performance. While his running mates Chase and Boyds also should have their receiving props looked at for possible overs, I think this is the one I feel has the best chance to cash.

We've seen Higgins rip through Baltimore's secondary before. The reality is that they are very banged up and don't have the weapons to handle any of these receivers one on one. If they decide to pay extra attention to Chase (who also has decimated the Ravens in the past), then Higgins is going to have some great opportunities all game long. I think coming off that poor game, against a poor Baltimore secondary in much better weather, gives this number some value IMO. He may eclipse it in one or two catches

Gimme Higgins to get the over.

Chiefs -3 -117

Final play of the week most likely. I like Kansas City in a bounce-back spot here -- the theme of the week.

I think the Chiefs will be able to have a balanced attack against a Jaguars defense with some soft spots. While I respect the Jaguars as rushing defense and think they can handle the Chiefs OK on the ground, they are going to have a lot of problems with Kelce back and a receiving corp that is looking to right some wrongs from Week 1. The Jaguars let a very underwhelming Anthony Richardson move the ball a little bit against them in his first ever NFL start; containing Mahomes will be tough.

I like the bevy of weapons on Jacksonville's offense, but I think the improved Kansas City defense is going to give them some issues. I think Chris Jones' return makes a huge difference, and I struggle to see the Jaguars being able to keep a clean pocket for Lawrence. The Chiefs were able to drub up some pressure last week against a much better offensive line without Jones, and I don't see a way Spags doesn't have his guys finding success here.

Combine this with more preparation time for Reid and a Chiefs team motivated to stay in the home-field race an important game against another potential divisional winner in the AFC

Gimme the Chiefs to get it done

In summary for Week 2:

Chiefs -3 -117
Tee Higgins over 60.5 receiving yards -110
Broncos -3.5 -106
Patriots +3 -107
Steelers +120

Good luck all
I like these picks I took the Chiefs as well but unfortunately didn't get better than -3.5 because I bet it earlier in the week. I do think they bounce back and cover here though with Kelce and Jones back. I'm on the Pats under 46.5 this week so I like that Pats pick as well I think they're live to win this game and I do think their defense will slow down Miami in this one. Good luck with your bets.
