I've got some questions about the NBA Quarter betting..... Maybe you could fill me in if you remember your process. I realize nothing is set in stone for rules on these things but any insight would be helpful so I don't have to start from scratch.
I've got a spreadsheet and have started tracking it.
- How many games back do you look back for determining a trend for each team (3, 4, 5, the season???).
- What kind of point overlay are you looking for when deciding which are actual plays?
Each season is its own season and once it stops hitting at a high clip you don't play it. You are only looking at giving yourself an extra edge on these bets.
-you take note of teams that have one quarter that they explode in compared to others(haven't looked at it on paper but G-st the past few years kick ass 3rd q's it seems)
- you look at teams that have a significant typical 1 bad quarter
-That is the hard part having each team have it's own page/spreadsheet(I always did it old-school in a paper notebook). After that you have the details and can look for edges. I always make sure a team is hitting at at least 70% for the quarters. Remember a book is basically taking a game and splitting it in 4 for the line. There is an edge here.
-This goes with totals betting for quarters as well as the edge is there.
-Strictly flat bet using only the "system plays" when they fit your criteria you determine in advance.
