Thomson amazing job. You get quality like that because he spent 25 fukking years as a manager in the minors/ coach for several teams/ front office& scout assistant, etc

He knows the ins & outs of every aspect of the game and his players. He's not just sitting there in his wrist bands performing felacio on a toothpick and high fiving his guys saying "come on boys" because that's about the extent of his skill set.

If Dusty loses this series the Strohs gotta let him go...I'm not sure they re- upped him after last years debacle anyway.

For the record, Minny has grown on me in general since i've gotten here. I think he's an interesting guy, and I think we could have some nice dialogue about certain things.

Agreed. I met the guy, he’s intelligent, great to talk to, and I like the guy. This race thing, I think it is beneath him. We all form different opinions based on how we live or where we grew up. Some things you can think but you gotta leave room for other opinions and thoughts. It can’t be “blacks are too dumb for this or that” it’s just narrow minded

For me, There are about a dozen sports/gambling forums you can go to where you have to wade through significant amounts of mediocre middle-aged men shouting unoriginal Political BS with a side of misogyny and racism.



My main home would be where that divisive stuff from both sides can be curbed or partitioned off the best. Highlight the sports, the gambling angles, and good vibes to make the place welcoming to everyone and not just the standard gambling degen recycled replaceable opinated blowhards. I took the summer off from the forums for the most part for the first time in 15 years, in large part because I'm tired of the same back and forths on the same subjects that are nowhere near close to sports or gambling topics.

I respect the opinion of you, Le, and Enikk a lot here (among others, but I highlight those). You all can speak to good qualities about the guy, and so I 100% trust that he's a smart and interesting dude. I've seen good stuff from him here as well.

Are you saying he got the stockbroker job because of the color of his skin too?? You have to give the guy some credit. I don't care how bad he fvcks the team up, they at least got there. We have seen talented teams under white coaches not even get there. He may have got the job because of the color of his skin but that is fvcking life in general. The most qualified almost never gets the job these days. It is all about connections. How many terrible white football coaches that did a worse job than what Dusty is doing in MLB and just get recycled over and over for the last 30-40 years?? Argument can go both ways. It is finally nice seeing new talent white/black coaches in the NFL but boy do they svck and maybe why we seen so much recycling in the past I don't know. I do know that the most qualified don't get the job anymore. That is never going to change. Doesn't need to be about race

Do you remember Gus Malzone from auburn? He was hired after going like 3-20 career. He was white. They had more qualified black candidates. Did you complain about that hire? Then he bought Cam for 300k and won a title.
