Last week of the meet, usually my favorite to bet. The local NY guys pick up their wins when the big names leave town.

I miss the days when Charlton Baker would ship down from Finger Lakes, under the radar, and whip all the big names trainers. He’s not as prolific these days, but I’m confident he can pump out a win or two this week.

Race 4, going with another Finger Lakes guy. Chris Englehart. His stock is usually overmatched here, but when the big boys leave town, his stock fits in claimers, maiden claimers, and low level allowance races. Especially on dirt.

Stidham horses have been running well here and at Colonial. He’s the type that gets the barn rolling all at once, and he’s being ignored on the tote right now.
