I wasn't going to chime in here until the contest was over but ... I kinda knew what Tanko's strategy was and I was going to stop picking also to see if Jay would drop closer to me. I wasn't going to drop past Tanko by any means. Then I changed my mind and decided to just try to win. To be frank, I don't really care if I win a prize in this contest. I like the challenge of beating other contestants. The reason I asked about the prize payout earlier, is that the first entry of this thread was never modified/edited to state there was a second place or that Cincy stated Jay would get double payout. Here is cut and paste of the first entry's text:

$800 Prize Pool offered by CincyKid
The game is simple. You pick a player you think will hit a homerun and post it here with the odds.
Post Playe’s Name, Team, Odds, and Book
Post your record with your plays
No picking 2+ homers
Once you post your play you are locked in…
If you edit your post, play is VOID and you cannot repick. Do it again and yooouuurrrr OUT!
Player must START for play to stand.
If your player does not start, you can re-pick with a new post stating your player did not start.
For the playoffs, a poster cannot pick a player another poster has already picked (First come first serve).
Minimum plays to qualify for winning: 100
*Don’t post fake lines. If caught theres a couple posters here that will mock you for years. They’ll probably bang your sister too

As far as I know, every contestant has followed the rules, and no one should be disqualified. Tanko met the minimum number of requried pick/plays. If, at the end of game 7, he is in second place then he should get $200, or $600 if he wins. If BigJay wins, he should get $1,200, or $400 if he comes in second place (entry #1310). I will be making a pick today before noon PDT.
All contests have contestants who apply strategies. The best one is the one that results in a win (duh). I don't have any major issues with any of the contestants here. I will say things could have been handled better up to this point. I enjoy reading the threads of all the contestants in this contest. I definitely don't agree with everything in the threads I read, but the posters in this thread are basically "stand up" people. They are a major reason I joined this forum. Good luck to all, especially for their wagers!
Good luck to all.
