USA will not lose every game will be more than 10 points

Yeah, originally I was hoping to see lines high enough to fade them as I felt they could be overrated against other teams with good NBA players, initially undermotivated taking their stacked team for granted, and even slow to gel under the FIBA rules.

But fukking around in the tune up games so LeBronda could step up and win them not only lends to them being properly rated (to the extent the market allows) or under rated in the spreads, but they've already checked themselves before wrecking themselves and it seems even grabbing first half or first quarter dog spread lines carries extra risk.

LIVE lines might show some value down the road, especially early in the first half, but don't expect much out of that.

Let's see if the recent blowout changes the dynamics here, especailly the lines. Hopefully the favorite backers will come stronger now.

For those books that might allow it, one way to approach these situations is to keep a parlay open and filling it with the USA women's and men's basketball juiced up moneylines. You limit your risk and increase your rewards this way.

Then, when the men lose to Canada because Jamal Murray, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and RJ Barrett somehow all go off at the same time, and Durant has a bad night or is injured, you'll know what you did.

But I think it's still a reasonable strategy at books that will allow it.

Open parlay. I'm doing it. Canada is the only real threat, but so was Serbia just 48 hours ago. ON PAPER

And another one.

What do you project U.S. vs Canada spread wise?

-12?

Seems like somewhere betwen 12 and 18 are what the market can stand when a team might be competitive.

Too high or too low and the book gets one sided.

It's Canada, so could be on the lower end of that spread range.

All that said, I see -35.5 for US over Puerto Rico, but I don't think that tells us much.

Canada is supposedly our toughest competition and barely held off a late Spain run today.

There likely is no one beating this team - or getting within 18. Still alot of points to give up on a team that was struggling to win just before the games.
