His guitar player was pretty good on Sopranos. Never understood the infatuation with this guy though. Dude has one good song.

Check out Lilyhammer...

There is ZERO politics at his shows. Never has been any

Are you certain about this - multiple reports from friends who have attended shows - as well as the internet seem to suggest otherwise.

I get his views make him a lightning rod for those who don't agree with his view point. Like I said - I have no problem separating Springsteen the writer from Springsteen the political pundit. As long as someone can recognize that music is a universal thing and not just something used for further divide - I am fine with it. Saw Neil Young years ago - was probably one of the greatest shows I've seen - but 30 seconds of hearing his political views and I tune it out instantly.

Jason Isbell is probably the only person I can say whose political rants have turned me off EVER attending one of their shows - well that and the price he's charging. Last year when he was down in Greensboro I think it was something like $165 BEFORE fee's for tickets - absolute insanity for who he is - I mean dude is an incredible songwriter and pretty damn good guitarist - but other than a few grammies he campaigned for - what has he really done other than piss off virtually anyone who dared not agree with him on everything.

James McMurtry is coming to town here soon - again - amazing songwriter who just doesn't have the audience - and think tickets are like $35. Gonna skip it though as not the Ms. type of music and all the goings on up in Cleveland this weekend with WNCAA and people in town for stupid eclipse viewing - figure the flats will feel like the "good ole days".
