Needed that horse for a small double. Cox horse just wouldn’t fall apart. Good call though, horse ran well.

Pork shoulder/butt for pulled pork. Small ones, about 7lbs each. Got them in at about 5:30 am.

Thanks. Kinder’s Buttery Steakhouse rub. Tried to post a pic but internet is spotty where I am right now.
Wife doesn’t like spicy so I have to use mild stuff. I’ll finish it off with some maple syrup and honey when I wrap it during “the stall.” Blends well with this rub.
