Many don't realize, your weight is more dependent upon what you put in your pie-hole and less dependent upon how much you work out. People still need to work out but, when people get started on their weight loss, they think, I'll walk 3 miles/day and lose weight. It could happen. But, unless you change your diet you're likely not to be successful.
Think about this.
3 mph walk in 1 hr for 180 lb person = ~245 calories burned.
1 glazed donut 300 calories.
What you eat is important. Physical activity makes you healthier so do both.
