You knew malt liquor went hipster when they came out with “flavors” in the St Ides Special Brews and the infamous Zima.

Shit should be only stocked and sold at the corner store in the roughest parts of any inner city. Disgusting.

The green grenades actually weren’t bad - white boy malt liquor.

I can remember a beer called Michelob Dark. That was some good stuff. I wonder if they still make it.

Don’t think so - can remember it being phased out in the 2000s I thought locally.

Once AB started that “freshness matters” with born on dates - it created a need for a lot of distributors to scale back their product lines and packaging to whatever they knew they could sell - so slow sellers got cut.

But it was a damn good smooth beer.

Used to bring Mickeys on trips to Frisbee golfing outings and catching blowjobs in the park while playing.

Loved me some cream ale.

Wish it was a more available style.

Don't see many cream ales anymore.

Genesee and Little Kings used to be everywhere back into the 80s and into 90s.

Could get a pony keg of little kings for $19.

Man we drank ALOT of kegs at our parties over the years. Always tried to keep a variety too every weekend - not just the same shitty Bud Light.

Forgot about that one - yea KC was AB malt liquor and Magnum was Miller.

The 2 of them were so obsessed with “market share” they used to battle it out selling that crap for 79 cents a 40 (Old E was like 1.79).

The local bums coming in grabbing a 40 and then hitting the need a penny/take a penny for 30 or 40 cents. I wanted to get rid of it - but my sales rep begged me to keep it because they were so damn obsessed with dominating the market in EVERY catergory everywhere and as long as they had top selling malt liquor - they got more points (bigger bonus checks).

I knew places selling 30-40 cases of that stuff locally a week - one bottle at a time. Biggest pain in my ass - killing yourself stocking shelves constantly and moving around 25 cases of 40s - all to make like a whopping $150 in gross sales a week - so like $30 profit and having to see some stinking bum 300 times and having to count $8 in pennies every night when closing up.
