🔥 Arenado's return: Saving the Cardinals or just a flicker of light before going out?
Busch Stadium is about to explode: Cardinals RBI machine Nolan Arenado will return in 7–10 days. But is this a shot in the arm to revive the season or just a last glimmer of hope before the playoffs end for St. Louis?..

At 39 years old, most pitchers are winding down. Not Bob Gibson. In his first start of the 1975 season, he threw a jaw-dropping 151 pitches 😳
No pitch count limits and no easing in. Just vintage Gibson—tough, relentless, and built different 💯

On this date in 1859, Cardinals Hall of Famer Charles Comiskey was born.

A player/manager for the American Association St. Louis Browns, Comiskey piloted the Browns to four straight AA pennants and defeated the National League’s Chicago White Stockings (now known as the Cubs) in the 1886 World’s Championship Series in a prelude to the modern-day World Series.

Elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939, Comiskey went on to play an integral part in the founding of the American League in 1901 and was the sole owner of the Chicago White Sox from 1900 until his death in 1931.
