was asked why Padres-Big thing on padres for me today is King vs Buehler. Buehler is a gas can-- he's 1-6 with a 5.38 ERA with a terrible 1.55 WHIP, where has King has had 5 straight strong games, which includes last tuesday pitching 7 shutout innings while fanning 12 against Atlanta, and over his last 30 innings, has allowed just 4 earned runs. Last time King faced LAD on 9/24 he gave up just 1 in 5 innings, with SD winning 4-2.He sports a 2.82 ERA and 2-0 in 22.1 innings against LAD in his career. Without freeman LAD stands a tougher battle as the bats of LAD havent batted well against Padres this year with Ohtani batting just .222, Rojas .143, Betts .000 and Will Smith .000. Padres are also 4-1 last 5 outings against LAD in San Diego. Give me the team fired up with emotion and momentum from the big win, going home with the better pitcher and lineup.

Great day tuesday, hit the POD in all 3 sports/MLB/NHL/NCAA. I did say at the beginning of the Playoff series the 2 highest scoring run series would be dodgers/SD and Philly/NYM. So far, Ive been right, they keep producing overs....

Yes, i am going against my beloved Yanks but F5. Not easy but the #'s and matchups point to close royals win. Yankees rely heavily on the HR, 1st in the majors, but going against Lugo will be contrarian to their style of play as he's a ground ball pitcher. If he's on, there will be few Yankees homers limiting their damage. Schmidt hasnt been good lately and he last pitched 9/29 where he gave up 4 in 4 innings to the terrible Pirates. Lugo last pitched 10/2, so expect Schmidt to have more rust than Lugo. Yanks still have the lineup to come back late and win against royals relievers so i will root for that. Prob cant repeat yesterday, so hopefully lady luck is on our side today too..

No tech explanation why Padres today other than with Darvish on the Mound, Padres are Dodgers Daddies (afterall, thats what Padre means).
I dont like Dodgers pitching today, Yama with the start, who hasnt gone more than 5 innings since returning from IL, He gave up 5 runs to these pads in 3 innings just the other day, and i doubt he goes more than 3-4 tonight as Roberts indicated he plans to then go to Flaherty+pen. He gave up 4 and 3 last 2 times to padres just in last 2 weeks.....and 3 to marlins before that with 4 to braves before that.....i would never put my horse on those guys in this situation with a hot padres lineup pissed after losing 8-0. Padres have Darvish starting who shut down the LAD lineup twice this year with a 1 ER effort over 7 innings just the other night. Darvish is also 4-0 with 2.63 era this year on the road with 25K’s & 5 BB's .Padres are 4-1 off a shut off loss playing the same team.

I expect Padres to come out hitting early and often to jump to an early lead.
