Meeting Bobby in Vegas this weekend.

Bobby looks very ‘released’ this morning…..

Im nice and refreshed after meeting Bobby. It was a nice breakfast. My only issue is that he pulled a classic @Reload and when it came time to pay. His wallet was in the car. Unreal.

Yes, I met him twice, Mr. Mint was awesome, saw him at a show in NJ and at the National one year. i got my W551 strip set from him and a some high grade e92 cards.. He was a great guy , he was wealthy before he got into cards. RIP

Interesting guy for sure - and have no doubt he was bright enough to take a hobby and make some serious coin with it. At the same time - some guys get very lucky in their “hobbies” and before you know it they are self appointed “experts”.

Ed Roman out in LV was like that with guitars and thinking of Mr Mint made me think of him. Started out flipping vintage stuff and was quite successful at it / but before you knew it was talking like he knew more than anyone and talking how his hobby was now an investable asset.

Also remember many many years ago going out to Smokey’s on the strip. Used to be in a little hole in the wall at a little strip mall. I knew they grew as the hobby grew and had several locations at their peak. Reading up and they were taken down in operation bullpen - doesn’t surprise me one bit either.
