Illini I’m with family, but even then not sure I’d be able to do it. I love the rougher areas in America, but international, maybe.

I would meet up but we are on a tight itinerary. I am meeting with a buddy to go party in Saigon. Illini aren’t you in the north, Hanoi?

I will do my best to post photos throughout my trip, lots of beaches and nice hotels.

0-1 on my Nets play, 72-60 total. Not even sure what day that bet was as my timing as all weird.

Flew 12 hours from Seattle to Incheon airport in Korea, then another 5 hours to HCMC. Left Seattle around 11AM Thursday, with the two hour layover we got in just before midnight Friday night. Crashed for like 5 hours and then awake at 5:30 am thanks to the jet lag.

I will probably be able to post more here while on vacation, I usually only have time for posting plays with how much I work. Plan is to bop around HCMC then go out drinking with a friend tonight. Feels great to be back, love the people and the sound of the motorbikes, great place to be.

HCMC is getting very festive for Tet. They celebrate the new year big here. Won’t be in HCMC for it, but you can see it everywhere, it will be the year of the dragon. It’s a busy city, overall I enjoyed it but think I prefer Hanoi when it comes to cities in Vietnam.

Food has been excellent as usual. Been eating pho for breakfast. Went out partying with a friend and we didn’t “balloons.” You basically can buy them at bars and they are laughing gas. It was great going out with a bunch of locals, great drinks.

I left Saigon earlier today and am in Con Dao. It’s a very small island off the south of Vietnam. Tons of wild monkeys. Will try to get some more pictures up later in the week. I’m here a few days then head to the Mekong Delta and then into Cambodia. It’s really cool how they celebrate Tet here.
