Fukl jj, he has a lifetime contract with the university.
Yeah tough to get rid of him because it costs 27 million dollars or so to fire the guy. The only way he's not the coach at Kentucky next year is if he steps down or retires which is a possibillity although I kind of expect him to have too much ego for that.

WOW. $27M!!!!!!!!!!
That is insane.

I need one of those. I think I'll bring it up with my boss in our dialog next week.
You think asking for $200k is too much? :ROFLMAO:

Actually quite the opposite Cal hates the conference tournament in the SEC because the championship usually is meaningless unless you need to win it to get in the dance. Your seed is determined before the championship is played because the SEC is one of the few conference tournies that finishes on Selection Sunday. Cal hasn't done well in the Big Dance lately but I think Kentucky will go on a run this year. Even though I bet them to win the conference tourney it wouldn't surprise me if someone else took them out and this is the year Kentucky gets back to the second weekend and beyond in the Big dance.
You were right. Cal doesn’t give a shit about the conference tournament. I can’t trust them in the NCAA tournament either. Dog shit defense last night.

With their offense I can't completely count them out but if they face a team with quick guards and good shooting they're in trouble. I always pick them to win it all in one of my brackets because I'm a fan but the reality is this team is unpredicatable and could go home the first weekend or make the Final Four because of their talent alone.

Lately they’ve been going home the first weekend and haven’t been close to the final four. They used to be able to depend on defense. They are just like everyone else now, just blue jerseys.

Kentucky is seeded higher than the SEC tournament champion. Definitely overseeded. Should have put Kentucky in the East with UCONN and kept Auburn in the South. Winning the tournament should mean something.

I told you the SEC tournament means nothing because its championship is decided on Sunday. I don't always agree with Calipari and his coaching but he has a point that the SEC tournament never means a whole lot as far as seeding goes. It sucks for the fans because a lot of Kentucky fans can't go to Rupp so they pony up for the SEC tourney to see their Cats only to have them lose in the first round.

The regular season must not mean anything either. Auburn had a better regular season record, conference record, and a tournament championship over Kentucky and still got a lower seed. The fabric on the the players mean everything.

Auburn didn't have as many quad 1 wins as Kentucky and most of their good wins came at home. That's why they're a 4 seed in the East region.

First game. Again. They might as well try to win the SEC tournament since their NCAA tournament run is going to be short.
