yeah agreed. JR puts some time into this thread. Will be checking out his leans for the postseason but NBA Playoffs are one of my main markets so will make my own plays. However if JR. makes a good point about a specific play will give it a look.

Thanks JDS I appreciate the kind words and am glad you were able to win when you tailed me. Hopefully I can keep it up but I'm really looking forward to the playoffs where hopefully I really pick it up.

Jimmy Butler o19.5 points -134 1.34u to win 1u

Just one play for me tonight and its a player prop in the Heat/Knicks game. I like Jimmy Butler tonight to score at least 20 points in this showdown with the Knicks. Butler has gone under this number in 4 straight games but I think he breaks out of that slump for a couple of reasons. One this should be a competitive game and in close games Butler tends to go over his props. Another reason I like him tonight is we know he gets up for big games and this is a pretty big game as far as the standings in the Eastern Conference playoff race goes. I couldn't pick a winner in this one because I think it could go either way but I do feel pretty confident Butler plays a good game and scores at least 20 points so that's my play for tonight.

Unreal loss tonight but that's how it goes down the stretch in NBA. Butler had 13 points at halftime but struggled for the rest of the game and only scored 4 points in the second half. The game itself was a playoff type game with both teams playing good defense and struggling to score on offense so it makes sense that player props would go under with the type of game it was. On to tomorrow where we have another big card so hopefully I bounce back.

I'm back at it tonight with a couple of first half plays in the Association. First up I like Boston to go over their first half team total of 60. The Celtics have been really efficient offensively this season especially at home where they've been dominant this season. The Thunder are without a couple of key players in SGA and Jalen Williams but I'm just focusing on the Celtics because I expect a lot of points in this game and the Celtics with their efficient offense should clear 60 by halftime.

My next play is on the Pelicans to cover the first half number against the Magic. The Pelicans have stumbled lately but I look for them to get back on track here against a Magic team that has to go on the road finally after an extended stay at home. I can see the Pelicans jumping on them early here and taking a decent sized lead into halftime. The Pels have been a good first half ATS team this year so backing them in the first half is smart plus I think the Magic may hang around in the second half long enough to get a back door cover because of their stingy defense so I'm eliminating that by taking the first half spread here.

The Boston play seems like a sharp one, as they are 53-22 ATS on 1st half spreads. They like to get after it early in the 1st half and seem to fly over the 60 point mark more times than not on nights they cover.

The Celtics are just trying to make it to the end of the season healthy so losing a couple of games here and there doesn't really matter to them because they've got the one seed and home court advantage throughout the playoffs virtually locked up at this point. It's tough to cap NBA these last few games of the regular season because some of these teams are going through the motions and some are fighting for seeding so it's difficult to figure out these teams motivation for their games.

Yeah that was crazy I bet first half in that one and switched to a different game since I already won my bet and then I get a notification on my phone that they lost and I couldn't believe it. Again though I think Boston is just going through the motions because they almost have nothing to play for since they've got the one seed locked up.

They were plenty motivated last night that's for sure as they now have clinched home court advantage throughout the playoffs. With nothing officially to play for I look for Boston to rest some key players down the stretch so I likely won't bet another Boston game until the playoffs.

The Warriors can effectively end the Rockets season with a win here tonight but it won't be easy as I expect the Rockets to defend home court with every thing they have in tonights game as a win here will put them down 2 games in the playoff race and keep the rest of their games meaningful in this last week of the season. So I didn't pick a side here but I do lean Rockets because they're catching four points at home where they've been extremely good this season and of course this is the biggest game of their season so I expect them to play well. I went with the under 228 here because this should be a playoff type game similar to the Heat/Knicks game the other night where both teams play tough defense and make it hard on the offenses in this game.

0-1 tonight as the Warriors explode for 133 points here to finish off the Rockets season. They actually have an outside chance to make it into the 7/8 matchup in the play in tournament with Sacramento losing tonight. This is important because you want to be in that game for the simple reason that one loss doesn't send you packing so I expect the Warriors to really play with a sense of urgency in these last few games. Anyway onto tomorrow where I'll try to get back on track.

Just one play tonight for me on the massive NBA card and it's on the Pacers hosting the OKC Thunder who continue to be without their star player SGA as well as Jalen Williams who are both doubtful for the game tonight. Both teams need this game so it's going be competitive but I look for the Pacers to pull away late and cover here against a banged up Oklahoma City team that has struggled on this current road trip against very good teams. Helping our cause is Indiana is coming off a very difficult loss against a team they should've beaten in the Nets and they haven't lost back to back games since the beginning of March so that coupled with a need to win this game to stay out of the play in tournament has me backing the Pacers tonight.
