The deficit we have now was accumulated, obviously, before Trump slapped tariffs on them a few days ago.

I answered your first question in my last post. It's a tool to gain leverage to negotiate a favorable to the US deal.

• He promised to reduce gov't waste. I'm all for that. What Prez Musk is doing is not elminating waste its just cutting for the sake of cutting and only in departments that they do not like (Educ. USAID, etc...). Where's the cuts in defense?????
• He promised to reduce prices. These tariffs are going to send us over a cliff and into a hard recession. Everyone on Wall Street and Business schools are in agreement this is going to happen.
• He promised to end the war in Ukraine by pressuring Russia. He's not pressuring them at all. He's capitulating to them.
• He promised that Project 2025 policies would not be in his adminstration. EVERY SINGLE executive order is from Project 2025.

I could go on.

I knew the guy was a liar of epic proportions but he's setting a new standard.
The best lie he's told. Tariffs will be paid by foriegn countries and it won't raise prices. Too many stupid people are believing that statement from him.

He was talking about DOGE and project 2025 policies almost daily on the campaign trail while simultaneously denying that he’d follow it. What government waste did you think he was talking about? He just says shit.

Why would you believe he would reduce prices? Everyone says they’re gonna reduce prices. Tariffs would obviously not do that. You can’t just magically create US demand for shit. That’s the only way tariffs can work

The guy denies that he lost in 2020 and claims Biden caused inflation that was happening on a global level as a result of COVID. Why would you vote for any “promise” he makes?
