I initiated the transfer in my online account and the warning message appeared to call them. They verified who I was and asked these questions. She called me back and all set pending in a few days.

Ok ok everything seems legit. I ask you these questions because my girlfriend‘s mother got scammed for $18,000 recently and it all started with a phone call from the bank. Which it wasn’t really the bank they changed the caller ID and they had her hook line sinker.

Yes but 1100? isn't big is it? Originally was going to send few thousand. It turned out no big deal really. I find all my CC,debit card ,banks are all super paranoid about fraud these days. As they should be.

No the money is gone, the scammers convinced her to send them 18,000 in bitcoin with some crazy elaborate story. Shes recently a widow and is not use to controlling the finances. I sat down and talked to her about all the ways scumbags can scam you in 2024. That will never happen again !

I have an old PayPal debit card that they keep trying to make purchases with like every month all over the country. It was replaced long ago so good luck to them.

i was just lucky Genie i just went online to order a new debit card because i had a crack in the old one and was ordering a new card
