Anybody ever get asked to answer like 3 or 4 questions by your bank to verify your identity before? I had to call my bank today as they put a hold on a transfer I initiated because they
couldn't identify me.

1. What color was your previously owned Ford Tempo?
Hell if I know. Never owned one . If I did it was like 40 years ago.
2. What county did you live in back in 1989?
Really?
3. Which street is nearest to you?
They gave me 3 and a highway connector. None close to me. Only knew the highway connector.
I guessed right but to be honest they were all stabs in the dark. My memory is decent but some of these are ridiculous especially when dated 40 years ago.

If you're used to doing an online transfer from your bank to another bank acc't, what seems to be the issue this time?
The agent lady I talked to had to explore the issues with higher ups and call me back. She said she thinks the hold was because of high amount(1100) ?? and first time transfer in. I had done previous transfers many times but other bank updated app completely so start over for me .

I see, maybe these factors that you mentioned, Keith. It's good that they take precautions and as long as they don't create further hassle on your end.
