Nice job getting back to the gym! GL with your back. Finally made it back into the gym today…first time in months. My legs feel like jello and my back feels a little tight so going to do some yoga once i get home. I have an issue where i like to compete with the people lifting next to me
anyway, gym selfie dropped - sad bc you can see how much muscle i lost in my legs ): thank goodness for muscle memory though. Consistency is key

also, had to rep the phins today
thanks!Nice job getting back to the gym! GL with your back.
I've lost muscle mass too since I've taken a breather from lifting, but imo it's better to to lose a little muscle and heal than to overtrain and cause a serious injury.
For the time being I'll need you to hit the gym for me. I keep tweaking it, feeling better, and then tweaking it again. There's no need to go into details, but being a caregiver is not easy on the back. Half the hospice people who help me with my Mom's care volunteer how bad their backs are. It comes with the territory I guess.thanks!
i agree, but at the same time i miss being a little thick ): lol slowly i'll get back to it, just have to keep an eye out for the back.
how has your back been treatin ya since you've been back in the gym?
People forget how much the brain and body are tied together. When I helped people with workouts almost every person having trouble with their backs had some serious mental stressor also going on. God Bless your Mom and the hospice workers. Just do some grip work and some isometrics. For the time being I'll need you to hit the gym for me. Ty. And ty for the suggestion with grip work. I've never bothered with grip exercises because I figured gripping the bar is all I need to train grip strength, but for that to work I actually have to grip a bar.People forget how much the brain and body are tied together. aww my dear, i'm so sorry to hear that. For the time being I'll need you to hit the gym for me. I keep tweaking it, feeling better, and then tweaking it again. Get a bucket soak a bar towel in cold water then try too get it bone dry by wringing it and squeezing it. Also when gripping a bar or dumbbells try to actually crush it in your hands before starting the movement. When your watching TV take a heavy rubber band and put in around the edge of your fingers and your thumb and practice opening up and spreading your hands.Ty. And ty for the suggestion with grip work.
